"Don't touch that! Who knows where it's been! Also, stop trying to eat everything in sight, it isn't good for you or did you magically forget that you threw up from overindulging two days ago?!"

The sharp snappy voice was looked at fondly and with plenty of bemusement by some of the new vendors at the market, it practically a common occurrence for the odd little family to visit every few days. That Lord Dream was trailing behind the two without a word was also expected, a pleasant surprise with most stall owners having spruced up their stands and had them meticulously cleaned just for their visit.

Their presence made the whole market feel lighter, the visits less tense then usual with the two folk starting to relax in the presence of their Lord who was being greeted like any other, which brought in a sense of community. An old woman selling herbs had been the one to start this tradition, taking one look at the lost look on the winged Lord's face and decided they needed mothering straight away. And well, once there wasn't a reprimand everyone joined in to include their saviour in subtle ways.

Sun continued to scold Palette since no one else was teaching the idiot what was right or wrong or how to take care of their own body. He had told everyone that this idiot was a child but did anyone do anything about it?

No! Because they were all morons!

His rant never seemed to end, of course oblivious to all the changes he was causing as he had far more important issues he needed to address. He needed to find some babysitters for Palette or at least something that would keep the idiot from getting into trouble. He did not want to be dragged into another dream world and doubted he would touch that power anytime soon.

He did not have trauma and he would appreciate if people stopped bringing that word up or any of his past adventures. Those chapters of his lives never needed to be touched again and that was that.

The current human toddler was scowling and huffing, still irritated at this new far too fragile body when his ears perked up. A familiar sound filled them and his eyes darted to a fully covered tent where he immediately poked Palette's cheek and pointed in a silently demanding way.

The amused huff was not appreciated nor was the smug look but at least they did as they were told. He magnanimously ignored the muttered 'little dictator' or the fondness badly hidden in the words, he had no time for mushy feelings and there was something far more important right now.

"Palette! Why are you not moving faster!"

Palette's smile was glued to his face especially as his name was finally used without an insult, wanting to pinch the chubby little cheeks just to get that adorable scowl but he also liked his fingers, with the little Dream having a surprisingly sharp bite for a current human child.

He blamed the magic acting strangely with the child's Code, the cat ears and tail should have vanished when entering this multiverse but were so intertwined with who the child was that they stayed. He knew he had picked the perfect little Dream, unable to resist nuzzling the soft ears even if he got whacked in the face in response.

Sun ignored all the idiots, the crowds already setting him on edge but he also refused to stay in the over the top mansion that reeked of daddy issues and inadequacy to a concerning degree. Not his circus, not his monkeys. He was here until he could leave and not a minute longer, still planning to drag Palette along so they could repay him in full.
