The 'foster placement' goes about as well as expected, that is to say fights have broken out and red flags are popping up like crazy. But at least the house isn't on fire!...yet

Sun leaned against Gold's leg as he stared in utter dread at the colourful house in front of him. The door was a bright blue, the flowers on the windowsills something that would make a Fresh grin in delight and the entire aesthetic was like it was a stereotypical picture of the perfect country home.
He absolutely hated it.
The sounds of joyous screaming coming from the house only put him further on edge, spotting a few kids' toys scattered and even a small sand pit not too far away. The weather was a perfect temperature, the sun fully out and yet none of this could make him relax.
Something was off in the air, the innocent looking scene couldn't fool him and he would find what was wrong with this place!
Splinter and the paired mates quietly watched Sun from a few feet away, watching the babybones clutch the plushy in a death grip that it surprised them that it didn't burst into a pile of stuffing and fabric. No words needed to be spoken that this would be far from an easy temporary foster placement, even if it was a rather unconventional one, with a supposed caretaker of the child staying as well.
No one was quite able to pin down what exactly Gold was to Sun, the babybones simply scoffing in response when asked before looking at them all like idiots and simply saying he was 'his adult'.
Splinter wasn't fully convinced on putting official custody in Gold's hands for many reasons, for one they didn't seem fully aware of the modern world and got confused by the strangest things. And another the babybones vehemently denied such a thing and looked half rabid whenever he gently tried to bring up the topic.
"It should only be a week they need to stay here until we have a better idea on how to progress from here...."
The unsaid that they all had zero clue how this would progress which was heard loud and clear by all three of them, Sun a rather unique case to say the least. Helios quickly went to grab the dog that had gotten loose into the front yard, Gold eyeing the animal rather hungrily while Sun grimaced like he smelled something rotten.
Mani was very aware this would likely be an uphill battle but surely he could do it. He had helped plenty of children and survived his rather intense family and found the love of his life in a rather unexpected manner.
He had conquered many challenges and wasn't a quitter, ready to deal with whatever this week pertained!

"....im sorry but i think i misheard you. Would you mind repeating yourself, Gold?"
Mani asked softly, his voice filled with tension that was ready to snap any second with Gold hardly seeming to notice or even care, considering they were casually biting into an orange without even looking at Mani.
Helio's looked between his far too expressionless mate who looked like they could be carved from stone, wincing at the knife they were holding cut through the wooden board and straight into the granite counter. It was lucky that the grandchildren weren't here, it quickly discovered after a few days that Sun wasnt very good at interacting with other children.
Oh the babybones had tried but the contact between them had seemed to stress the poor thing a bit too much, Helios being the one to sadly cut the grandchildren's trip short. Even their mix of animals which he thought would be perfect for Sun to relax hadn't been enough to calm down the most paranoid babybones he had ever met in his life, it sad that the bedroom laid out for them had been empty since day one.
