The Leviathans figure out something is wrong. Red is stressed and Sun is starting to break.

Dream frowned at the sight they came back to the next day, the place where Inks landweller used to be was practically razed to the ground with indistinguishable patterns painted on the few standing walls, unable to comprehend it but by Error's whistle he would guess it didn't say anything good.
The building was ruined and he was amazed it hadn't fully collapsed with the holes in the walls, unsure how something like this could occur so quickly but he could admit to not being that knowledgeable about land dwellers compared to the other Leviathan.
Ηe could see that Reaper was clearly distressed this probably only building up the grief from the past of losing Geno and their first hatchlings, the other having grown attached to the odd hatchling and he could admit he had some heart ache too, something about the small creature familiar in a way he couldn't fully describe.
He felt this was just another reason his twin would use to prove you couldn't trust landwellers and why their worlds should be separated. The longer he stared at the remains and the faint scent of Sun vanishing, the more he could agree, unable to understand what had happened here.
"Seems things have taken an interesting turn"
Error hummed in amusement, kicking away a shard of stone as he examined the doctors home, the smells strong but it was clear to see that many land dwellers had been here and had not appreciated whatever they had found. He took his time looking through the remains, using his foot to push back some scattered vials and spotted the glint of the small Mer's scale although some were larger then he recalled, almost like an actual Leviathan but yet the knowledge was pushed into the back of his mind, like it was unimportant.
He had never thought the hatchlings survival would be high but now it had practically dropped to zero, it was to be expected after what he saw from the hatchling and thought it was a miracle they had lasted so long. He had been entertained at least and was ready to get back in the water again, it odd to be on land no matter how many millennia he had learned of this odd quirk of theirs.
He glanced over at Ink and felt his shoulders sink, their emotionless expression as they stared down the stairs to the basement saying everything and he just knew they wouldn't be done with this yet. He inwardly sighed and resigned himself to a search for Ink's 'land dweller' and likely the hatchling as well going by how intently Ink was sniffing the scales scattered on the floor.
He knew Ink could be rather possessive of what was 'theirs' no matter how long they had them for, still having the scar on his ribs when he tried to steal a sunken ship from them and knowing better when to pick his battles nowadays especially with the stupid Truce in place but he would admit to being so very bored.
"Im going to look for the two of them. I wasn't done with them yet"
....It's also why he simply nodded when Ink spoke in a rather blunt tone, used to their rather selfish thoughts by now but it did lead them to interesting places. He just knew that this search was likely to end in tears but he was so terribly bored that this should kill a few days easily and he doesn't want to lose another of their kind, having some paranoid thoughts after one of their kind went missing but he wasn't going to admit that.
Who knows, It might also be nice to see how the world had changed since he last came up here, it being a good few decades but land dwellers tended to advance rather quickly despite their much shorter lifespans.
