Sun does something ill advised in an impulsive action while his little cult continues to grow

"For the last time I didn't give a SHITAKE what you name the cats. The mother said you could pick or you can keep the names they came with. At least try to remember this might not work out"

Sun repeated the same words he had spouted far too many times to count, resigned at this point that Palette wasn't listening to him or worse they were listening and yet kept forgetting everything he said. Not the worst trait he'd ever dealt with and it was a common Ink trait, graciously giving this hybrid a bit of leeway due to them being somewhat tolerable so far.

When he saw them get distracted with the new furry friends in their life he knew that this was his chance to have an actual breather before he was nagged or carried somewhere where there could be even more people.

The market was nice to look at stuff but he got his cheek pinched just a tad too many times with the action happening more often after he found the companions for Palette, like it was some sort of reward for being 'kind'.

It was all self serving but would anyone believe him?

No! Idiots, the lot of them, bristling at the drowned cat expression the local Dream was giving him when they thought he wasn't looking.

He somehow missed the growing number of his little cult, the besotted looks the staff would give him like he was the best thing since sliced bread.

It was a sad bar that was practically in hell right now, discretely flipping through his phone now that he actually had some alone time and could actually walk. Human bones were terrible and he would rate it a 0/10, far too delicate for his liking with monster bones so much superior.

The fussing from everyone seemed so much worse as well, like they couldn't help themselves but to coo or hold him in some manner. That is why Palette had been an excellent deterrent for that but now he had some sort of balance, without falling on his face, he was once again exercising his evasion and stealth skills.

It was a work in progress but now he was in a nice quiet corner of the garden, sitting in the centre of the hedge maze for some sort of privacy and began looking over his messages. There were quite a few from Gold, a surprise as he hadn't thought they would be able to get used to technology without trying to drown it in water.

The messages so far didn't look that bad at least, some news about the MPS and knew that ditching the striped shirt had been a good idea as he hadn't bumped into any of that type yet.

"Nothing important there, some junk from a few stalkers that somehow keep contacting me despite being blocked. Trash. Trash. Trash- oh? Core messaged? Lets see what they have to say"

He hummed a little tune to himself while flicking through the paragraph and a few amusing photos of the traps Core had set with his smile flattening when he got to the information portion near the end. It seems he missed a few things. Quite a lot in the end and was less then impressed by what his supreme stalker had been up to. The mention of an odd silver light stretching across a large portion of the Omniverse brought a pang of peace and warm nostalgia. It hard to forget even a brief moment of peace and calm in the life he was leading.

His eye twitched when he reached the end of his messages, scowling like the phone had personally offended him when he spotted a message far too flashy from an unknown number but he could already guess who it was from.

"You can't hide forever, little chaos. Just tell me where you are and I can show you to more of my family!"

That message was deleted with a prejudice even if the message irritatingly popped back up seconds later with his phone glitching like it was denying his very reasonable action. He didn't want to meet any of supreme stalkers family, the Deity bad enough with his imagination running wild on how terrible the rest would be.

He turned his phone off and put it back in his Inventory, even if it was harder to do in this stupid fragile body. Not to mention that utilising magic was an utter pain in this scrawny flesh prison, determined to strangle Palette when he had better coordination of his hands. He should have known better than to listen to their idea of jumping in that portal, their giddiness a red flag that he had stupidly ignored as he was still frazzled after all that forced socialisation.

He wasn't a hero and only looked after the most important person in his life. Himself.

If that so happened to mean others got helped in the process that was none of his business and would appreciate people learning to stay in their own lane!

"There you are, Dream. It's far too hot for you to be outside now. Lets get you a snack"

He bristled at the familiarity he was addressed, his skin prickling when picked up by some maid he didn't even try to remember the name of. That he was still called that dreadful name nearly made him go feral, it was all Palette's fault and something he wouldn't forgive anytime soon. He wasn't sure what had happened in their mind to finally click that he was In fact his own purpose and not just a copy of their Dream how creepy that a Positivity Guardian had a child but it took far too long for his liking.

Maybe he should just torch his name and other parts at this point, convinced there had to be a way to erase it in the CHECK box somehow. According to stalker, Error's often played around with their status to more often mess with Creators, so why couldn't he?

He ignored the obvious reasons, the difficulty in such a task and how impossible it would be for most monsters or humans. Sun was a stubborn and spiteful creature at heart with trivial things like 'impossible' nothing to him but a boring obstacle he would overcome.

The only bright part of this entire farce was seeing the adorable kittens that were still learning to walk, watching them waddle and knock over everything on the stupidly fancy table was a highlight of his day. He enjoyed napping with them as well, patting himself on the back for doing such a good job. He'd calmed down some of Palette's issues and got more quiet and peace.

What an excellent win!

Now he just needed to leave this place, a bit of practicing with his magic should help. Now, could he remember exactly what supreme stalker was saying in that one lesson and could it help with his issue?

——

Palette used a finger to tease the pale ball of fluff, smiling at how the butterfly wings twitched and tiny paws scrabbling like crazy to catch the 'impossible' target. He had never thought about getting a pet in his life but it somehow felt right. That the tiny critters were oddly intelligent and seemed to understand him was a pleasant surprise, smiling fondly when thinking at Sun's funny reaction to him thanking them.

He let his hand get caught by the darker kitten, the siblings quickly pouncing on each other with wine glasses and decorations being knocked over the dining table but no one seemed to care and watched on.

He was considering using his napkin to play with the kittens when an unsettling feeling shot through him, eyes darting towards the door just as a maid came in carrying in...

His mind went blank, unable to put a name with the child even if he recognised them, staring harder and yet the name was out of his grasp.

What did they do?!

~~~~~~
Sun: *Complaining about his human body* It's so delicate! How do they do anything with it?!
Also Sun: *Not in the best condition with it easily reflected in a human body*
-
Sun: *Glaring at the messages like he is personally offended* Why would i ever want to meet any more of the crazy beings family?!
CHAOS: *Ominous sensation crawling along his back*...the feeling that im going to be chewed out by my twin is ever growing
-
Sun: *Annoyed and not thinking too hard as he messes with his magic* I am not a Dream! If only i could start from fresh
Palette: *Staring wide eyed* What did you do?!
CHAOS: *The one who taught Sun such magic*..my twins judgement feels unusually high today
