"Now everyone. I'd like you to welcome our newest student. Their name is Blue and they came from a far off place so i'm sure they have lots of stories they would be happy to tell you"

Toriel's voice was like white noise to Sun at this point, keeping a timid smile and slumping in his seat at the back of the room after he had managed to convince trick Goth to swap seats with him. He did not want to be sat at the front and deal with all that energy, already having endured far too many talks about 'feelings' let alone all the torture lessons with English his worst enemy.

So what if his spelling wasn't always right?!

He would like to see anyone else deal with what he did and be able to read and write. It was frankly a miracle he could do any of that with his first ever lessons in life let alone his introduction into society done by an Ink, which should really say everything.

He came from bum FUNK nowhere and was born from a tree. That he could even speak should be classed as a miracle, having to even learn modern English as apparently his AU had been further in the dark ages then he knew.

The stupid teacher was lucky he was acting otherwise he would have burned off her fluffy fur to show much he appreciated her stupid concern. Don't even get him on about themes of books. If the author said it was a blue shirt why did they have to analyse all of the details?!

He thought he was an overthinker but school was so much worse, his childhood a dream compared to this.

"HELLO! IT'S WONDERFUL TO MEET YOU ALL AND THE MAGNIFICENT BLUE CAN'T WAIT TO BE YOUR FRIEND!"

...the positivity was disgusting, the answering mood from everyone else in the room just as vile and he tried to melt into his seat to no avail.

"Why don't you go sit in the spare seat beside Dream? I'm sure you two will get along greatly"

..Toriel needed to learn to shut her mouth, eye twitching when he realised the seats beside him were magically empty when he knew they were filled beforehand, truly hating this place with a passion.

"HELLO, DREAM! I FEEL WE ARE GOING TO BE GREAT FRIENDS!"

And that stupid name being pushed on him wasn't helping matters, his smile growing more strained as he very reluctantly faced the far too happy Blue.

He was going to burn it all down in the end, mark his words.

Sun had finally managed to get some alone time, Blue sticking to him like a burr for the last week which had been a new level of hell that even his stalkers hadn't ever achieved.

He might have admired it all if he didn't have the horrifying realisation that this monster was just like that, genuinely trying to be friendly without any deception. It was creepy and even harder to throw them off, mentally cursing when his magic wasn't as effective on them and he had to go to old fashioned ways of dodging them.

At this point he thought Gaster's were his preferred monsters to deal with, at least he knew how generally unhinged they were and what they were planning and they didn't try any of this friendship SHITAKE on him.

He slowly closed the dorm room which he was now forced to share with Blue, his only bit of even manufactured privacy in this messed up situation and even now that was taken from him by the mastermind of it all. He didn't like the implications of the third bed in the room.
