Sun isnt sure about having an actual parent, Palette is still reeling at everything he has been through and CHAOS tries to be a calm parent (it fails spectacularly)

"Don't run too far! Who knows what weirdos you may bump into!"
Palette watched in utter bemusement as CHAOS fussed over Sun and acted like an actual parent. It was still strange how much had changed since he was taken by that psycho 404 through the portal and then suddenly had so much information thrown at him that it gave him much whiplash.
These last few months in a rather AU had been so relaxing and yet so confusing at the same time, so much changing in so little time and yet the dynamics still felt the same.
Finally being given a body that fit him right was a surprise he never expected, feeling the comforting buzz under his bones, if he wished to take his older form, was a relief that he never believed he would ever get. It was slightly depressing that he had received far more care from a stranger than his own parents but that was a fact at this point that he knew would never change.
Meeting Order had been another shock, mainly as he couldn't imagine CHAOS having a twin who was so well adjusted. He had initially doubted that claim until he saw how the two interacted together and then it was obvious they were close family.
Deities were weird and he learnt far more about the omniverse in the last month then he had learnt in his entire life, feeling that would be a theme if he stuck around Sun. The baybones practically a trouble magnet and a natural talent for sniffing out the strangest situations.
"You need to be picked up, Palette? Or perhaps a snack? You look a bit pale. Did the trip back upset your magic?"
That was another strange thing, how subdued and somewhat 'normal' 404 was after the chat with ORDER. He didn't expect it to last but Sun looked thrilled by it and even if they just left ORDER's home, the other babybones wasn't shy in waving around the gifted spray bottle with an unknown substance in it in 404's direction when they merely twitched.
He still had no clue what was in the spray bottles that ORDER had given him and Sun, and at this point he was a bit too scared to ask.
He shook his head at 404, going back to watching Sun run around while CHAOS fussed and worried the entire time when the babybones even looked like they were about to trip.
He still couldn't believe that CHAOS was now biologically related to Sun it still felt like a fever dream, nor the Guardian Beast Sun now had as a constant companion unsurprisingly a cat. And now he was dragged into it...and yet he couldn't find himself too disappointed by it. Certainly more fun then what he was doing before but one thing was for certain.
Sun's life was so weird and anyone else who had to live it surely would have gone insane early on.

???? Multiverse
Sun breathed in the fresh air, the city life filling the air and the smell of a bakery not too far away. He never thought he would miss outside, hearing and smelling others in the air. And yet he had. He happily pet his new best friend, running his hand through their white fur and pretty gold and red markings with this the greatest gift he had ever been given.
What a 'Guardian Beast' was exactly he wasn't sure but all he knew was that 'Petunia' was one of the most important creatures in his life, the pretty feline who looked like the lucky cat statues littered in a few shops, had a mischievous personality under all those innocent features.
A perfect companion and accomplice for what he planned and with a simple shared glance the two were off, darting through the market. Leaving behind their other companions as Sun needed a moment of just being himself. A moment to breathe.
Surely that wasn't too much to ask?
He perked up when he heard about a circus, always curious about attending one and smoothly ran towards the noise. Convinced he could get a few minutes of being alone and enjoying something new without someone watching his every move.
He might tolerate love his new mother still a strange thing to think about but he still didn't enjoy being watched all the time and would like to do something without being fussed over.
Of course his unique brand of luck couldn't let that slide, barely taking a step into the tent before things went downhill.
At least all the Deities watching enjoyed the show with money being exchanged between hands with LUCK looking so very proud.

"...i hope you know i am very unimpressed with you and am even thinking of texting uncle to scold you"
Sun deadpanned, his words going in one ear and out the other as CHAOS cradled him close and fussed over his barely scraped knee. Sighing as he was nuzzled and begrudgingly leaning into them as his head was pet, sensing the clear alarm down the parental bond.
How was he supposed to know the circus he entered was part of a shady group?! That the circus that had shady practices to collect information with the head honcho hidden in the shadows, using an even shadier magic to spread out their influence and obtain more acts for their twisted show and to attract more monsters.
It wasnt his fault he stumbled into that situation and it could have happened to anyone!
Palette was shaking like crazy in 404's hold, a dead eyed stare as he stared into the distance like he prayed for sanity. He had never seen anything so disturbing as CHAOS going from calm to suddenly unhinging their jaw like an eldritch creature and devouring the entire AU like it was nothing.
He couldn't stop trembling, the awkward patting on his back unfairly calming as he tried to forget what he witnessed. It was a futile endeavour as the scene played over and over in his mind.
"I am not that danger prone! I can have a perfectly normal day!....are you laughing at me?!"
He couldn't help but snort when he heard Sun's screeching protest, even he knew that was a lie with 404's chest vibrating with suppressed laughter.
Then he spotted Sun's stubborn look and his amusement fled, just knowing this was going to lead to more insanity. Almost tempted to simply leave them to it and watch from a far, far off distance.
