Destiny's pov

I didn't plan for my feet to carry me anywhere far, definitely no stairs; this dress was obstructing my circulation.

But my urge to escape that setting was one I couldn't hold back.

"Destiny. Destiny wait!"
Artemis followed me into the library I suddenly found myself in.
Breathless and tired of running, I took comfort in holding onto a chair's back.

Lifting my gaze just for a bit, I glared at him, in attempt to hold back my tears.

"WHAT?! WHAT ARTEMIS?"

"I'm sorry, I fucked up."
"YOU ALWAYS FUCK UP! I'M TIRED OF YOU!"
"Destiny please..."
He took a step forward and I looked the other way

"Oh don't you Destiny please me... just go away."
I signaled him to stop with my palm
Those damn tears, I couldn't hold the water works from taking over.

"Forgive me, I... don't know what came over me"
Remorseful, he pleaded with a pair of sad eyes

"I have never been so embarrassed in my entire life and it's all thanks to you!"

I turned around to meet his guilty pleas, I masked my tears with some more anger.

Artemis sighed, holding on to the chair with a downward gaze.

Did he just sigh at me...?!

"Oh is this bothersome to you?"

"N-no. No, I'm just... thinking"
His tone dropped

"Oh you're thinking?"
A sinister laughter echoed through my mouth
"AND WHERE WAS THAT BIG FAT BRAIN OF YOURS AT THE DINNER TABLE?!"

"Look, I'm sorry Destiny... what more do you want from me?"
His gullible, not taking accountability, attitude was punishable. I will personally see to it.

My waist turned around towards the history section, as the worst idea occurred to me.

I reached for a book and pulled it out
"BATSHIT CRAZY? IM BATSHIT CRAZY?!" Frantically, I began to scream and throw one book at each line.
"I'LL SHOW YOU CRAZY"

*another book*

"Destiny come on, I didn't mean it"
he dodged, left and right.

"OH YOU MEANT IT ALRIGHT!"

*2 books with both hands*

Artemis got daring, or should I say suicidal, all of a sudden and came right at me, emptying my hands of the books.

I banged his torso repeatedly with both fists... he let me have it.

"I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU"

"Destiny."
His nuisance of a voice called out my name; I'd been so clouded I could barely hear it.

Artemis shook me, Holding my wrists against one another with both his hands ; restricting my movements entirely. My anger soon toned down.

"Hey hey."

"Let go of me!"
I resisted

"Destiny. Breathe."
He never looked at me the way she did now; it was poetic.

I let go of my attempts to escape his gratifying gaze.
With each passing second, he would breathe slower; leading me into a rhythm that matched his.

A few breaths in and our breathing rhythms synchronized with one another; the banting slowly and gradually tuned down to normal.

Luckily, I no longer felt like crying.
