chapter 41 - what the future holds

There was an shore of tree before a clearing, that was where the villains were meeting up and leaving. For some reason, Komi hadn't heard any explosions, so if they had Bakugo, they must've knocked him out or something.

Komi set both Jiro and Hagekure against a tree and tried to get them comfortable. Aoyama was still as fidgety as ever, and even more so since there was a fight up ahead.

"Okay, follow me if you wan-"
"No!" Aoyama half yelled, not wanting to get any attention drawn to him. "It's dangerous."

"I know, but they have Bakugo." Komi crouched right back down and put her hands on Aoyama's shoulders. "I know this is scary, but we have to fight. You don't have to do anything, but staying here and protecting Jiro and Hagekure is dangerous as well."

"Kom- Look!" Aoyama pointed, and the noirette turned her head.

From what she could see, Shoji -who had arrived by jumping one of the villains- was with Shoto and Midoriya. Midoriya looked like shit, but he was still fighting which meant he was full of adrenaline, meaning he could drop at any second. But the three of them were running away, and blocking any attacks the villains might throw at them.

"Midoriya would never leave Bakugo...right?" Aoyama muttered. "They must have him somehow. That guy in the mask, he turned himself into a little ball, maybe that's what happened to Bakugo."

They were running away...but it was only Dabi who tried to stop them. Even from his distance, Komi couldn't see much of his face.
But something was off...Komi couldn't tell what since her nomu mother was currently out on the field besides the other nomu who just showed up -yay.

"The villains aren't stopping them...somethings wrong." Komi muttered and tried to get a closer look. If nothing was wrong, then Komi could stay hidden and be fine and dandy. But, on the chance that something was wrong, Komi was ready to spring into action.

The guy in the mask took his mask off, showing a ski mask and something else Komi couldn't see. But then he clicked his fingers and two little blue marbles in Shoji's hands turned into clunks of ice.
Komi narrowed her eyes in, glaring harder to see. In the villain's mouth was two more blue glowing marbles...

Shoji had the marbles and therefore, he and Midoriya + Shoto started running away...but now they were all shocked and -shit, Bakugo.

"Aoyama, we need to use your quirk." Komi affirmed once she clocked it together. "Bakugo is one of those marbles in the villain's mouth -there's two so maybe they took someone else. They just need a second of your quirk."

"His mouth?" Aoyama looked back and fourth. "I can't aim, I might something else."

Komi forced him standing and grabbed his waist and hips. She didn't care, there was nothing to be embarrassed about because there wasn't any time for that. Komi didn't care that she often pissed Bakugo off and he pissed her off, he was still a person, and he was in trouble.

"I'll aim for you." Komi had a great pair of eyes after all, her vision was 25/8 all the time. "On my mark."

Komi moved Aoyama as the guy in the mask started to slip into the warp that the warp villain from the USJ had. He was here as well, they were all here, boo-yah.
When the masked villain bowed, Komi then- "NOW!"

A laser shot from Aoyama's middle and instead of checking anything else, Komi lurched herself forward, throwing her hand out and shooting out a string of webs at the trees. She grabbed it when it became strong and she pulled, sending herself across the vast clearing.

Two tiny blue marbles escaped from the masked villains mouth. Shoji, Shoto and Midoriya were all running towards them. As Komi got halfway there, she knew for a fact that she wouldn't be able to reach them in time, but she was there anyway, no point in turning back.
