chapter 91 - she can't drive, but she can legally punch a b!tch

"You boys are now under my tutelage." Endeavour learnt a new word today. "Deku. Bakugo. Before we begin, tell me about yourselves. What are you currently capable of? What weaknesses do you need to improve on?"

The room Komi was in, was a gym. It was, in her opinion, a very ugly gym. The walls had these tiles that looked like they belonged to a bathroom in the early 2000s, there was such a wide space of nothing and a lingering scent of sweat that seemed to stain the air that was not very enjoyable.

Midoriya spoke first, balling his hand into a fist. "I want to preform at my fullest, to do that, I need to gain better control over my power."

"How interesting. Your quirk is so strong that it hurts you, is that right?" Endeavour asked and for some reason, Komi fought back a smile.
Since day one of knowing him, no matter how much of an asshole he was, the hero that he is and the way he knew everything about the trade was always admirable to Komi. Even if it came against her better judgement.

"Yes, I've learned to control it enough that I don't usually hurt myself." Midoriya says. "However, urh...recently there uh...there is other thing. Its kinda like um...-so its my power, but its kinda like manifesting?... in a way I've never experienced before...so, um...."

Komi was looking at him calmly. Easily waiting for his answer and for him to bring it in his own time. She was in no rush, as it was. After all, she was used to the greenie's rattling off, so this wasn't much of a shocker.
Bakugo? His forehead vain had already popped two minutes ago when he wasn't the one to answer Endeavour first.

"Show me" Endeavour stated, clearing ignoring the way Bakugo had some issues... Komi's boyfriend, ladies and gentlemen -a true regulator of his emotions.

Midoriya put his arm out and a small wisp of whatever the thing was came out and disappeared into the air. "If I concentrate, I can release a small amount that I can handle. This is the most I can handle right now. If I'm not careful, incontrollable energy explodes out of me."

Komi noticed how there was a difference from when he showed Mount Lady that (in all honesty) pathetic little breath of a whip-thingy, and to know, where the form of the whip had taken shape and it was about the length of his finger, maybe a bit longer.
If there was one thing about Midoriya, it was that he would practice and practice and practice.

"What do you mean by performing at your fullest?" Endeavour asked. "Explain your power."

"Its seems flexible like a whip and could be super versatile." Midoriya started, pulling his fist back towards him and studying it. "I want to turn this risky thing into a useful weapon, I guess I'm try to say I want to try and control it at will like how I did with air force -oh, air force is a whole other thing."

Komi slouched, coming to an unfortunate realization of where this was going...
So far Midoriya just explained that he wanted to better his ability at his quirk.

"That's a long distance attack that uses wind pressure. But I need to work on that too, because it needs more output than my body is prepared for. In my current state, I can only tolerate a certain amount of power: My base line is around 10-15 percent, but air force needs around 20, so I go a little over. Does that make sense to you?" Midoriya asked.

Komi had resorted to drawing number in the air.

"At that point, even if I don't injury myself, there is a painful tingling and it effect my mobility and speed. That's why I have practiced Air force enough so that I can use it and go back to a safe level of output right away, If I can just do this with black whip, then theoretically I should be able to use that power whenever I want." Midoriya's words were morphing into one. "When I'm not even close to do that of the ability yet. See, when I'm fighting, I adjust my power output as I move so I would be adding another element to that, which is hard to juggle -I've been training so that I can preform without thinking, but so far that hasn't had much luck, which is why I'm excited to be here!"
