chapter 46 - what are brothers for?

When Komi opened her eyes, she was still blind.

And she knew that she opened her eyes, because when she moved her hand and poked her eye, she didn't see a thing. A doctor had come inside and told Komi about what had happened to her.

She had a fake tooth in place of her old one and emergency surgery was conducted for a severe concussion to the head. She had 9 stitches along her hair line. She had a severe burn mark over her shoulder, however it was healing nicely. A bandage around her leg where Toga had drained her blood and she was in a coma for two days. During that time, apparently a lot of her classmates visited her.

The doctor went on explaining that he would call someone to come help with picking her up, as Komi was blind and still a minor. She was told to relax, so that was what she tried to do. When she found a remote and she turned on the TV, the last thing she did, was relax.

"And our most recent and internationally viral story, All Might's true form..." The lady on the TV said.
Komi sat very still in that hospital bed while she heard about everything All Might put himself through, just to save Komi.

He was...retired...No longer a hero. Was that Komi's fault? She wasn't strong enough to evade much attacks, so did it lead to All Might's retirement? All these questions fueled themselves into Komi's mind so much that she didn't even notice the door to her room being opened.

"Komi?"

The girl nearly shot out of her bed. "Shoto!"

The second he got close, Komi grabbed him and hugged him, then pulled him away and slapped him and then hugged him again. "Are you an idiot? Why were you at Camino?"

"It wasn't just me." Shoto explained, setting something he had in his hands down. "Midoriya, Kirishima, Iida and Yaoyorozu were all there as well. We wanted to do something, we couldn't just sit back and wait."

"Iida? And Momo?" That didn't sound right.

Shoto sighed, and then he went on explaining everything. Apparently, the day that Midoriya woke up, he chose to got out into Camino to rescue Komi and Bakugo. Iida came along and sucker punched Midoriya as well, which was kinda funny, but Komi did her best not to laugh. Shoto explained how Yaoyorozu set up a tracker on one of the Nomu's at the training camp.

The moment Shoto mentioned the training camp, Komi pranced on him and shook him down for answers about everyone else. Who was hurt, if they were okay.

"I was with Aoyama, is he okay? And Jiro- and Hagakure, are they all okay?" Komi asked, fiddling with her fingers.

"Jiro and Hagakure were sent to hospital, but they're fine now. Aoyama is also unharmed." Shoto confirmed.

Komi sighed a breath of relief. "Good....are you...are you waving your hand in front of my face?"

"I want to see how blind you are."
Komi reached out and grabbed his wrist. "As blind as a blind person, Shoto."

Komi heard Shoto reach behind him and she moved over he sat down on the bed. "How long did the doctors say it would last?"

"Around a week." Komi shrugged, but then she felt something being placed in her hands. "Is this a bomb?"

"Is it ticking?"
Komi smirked slightly because Shoto was learning sarcasm rather well. Komi opened the box and tried to grab what was inside it, but...

"Sho, buddy, you're gonna have to tell me what this is, because in case you forgot, I'm a little blind-"

"It's a phone." Shoto said and Komi's jaw went slack. "I told the old man I lost my one and he got me this one. I've set it up for you, the password is 'glitter nail polish'."
