Komi didn't know what she expected.
She couldn't remember what she thought before it either, she couldn't remember what brought her to do it either. She couldn't remember how her face react or what her first thought was. It was all the after of what had happened.
But she could remember everything of what she thought. And everything that was her fault to why she had to go through this. Why he was going through this.
Komi couldn't put her finger on why she...why she....
All she wanted to do was...
It was still sunny outside, like the day wasn't going to be bad.
The air was still crisp and fresh, like it wasn't going to be bad.
Komi was walking with Midoriya, Shoto, Uraraka and Iida. They were making their way to the library to study and Komi needed to prove to the teachers she was no longer blind and therefore could participate in training once again.
Komi's mission was clear: she needed to locate All Might, and Midoriya had confidently assured her that he knew the teacher's whereabouts. With that reassurance, she followed him, the rest of the group trailing behind them in a formation that felt strangely tense. What was meant to be a simple task was starting to feel unsettlingly off.
They arrived at the teacher's lounge, expecting to find All Might among his colleagues. However, the room was eerily quiet and empty, with not a single teacher in sight. The lounge, usually bustling with activity and chatter, now had an almost desolate atmosphere. The only occupant was a tall, strikingly blond man who Komi had never seen before. His presence seemed out of place in the otherwise vacant room.
The blond man's eyes briefly met Komi's, but the interaction felt surreal, as if she were looking at a reflection in a dream rather than a real person. The room itself seemed to warp around them, with corners appearing oddly out of place and the light flickering unpredictably. The more Komi tried to focus, the more the room seemed to shift, blurring the lines between reality and illusion.
Her attempts to understand the situation only led to more questions. Was this an unexpected turn of events? Had they arrived too early, or had something changed that they weren't aware of? The very fabric of the room felt unstable, and the familiar surroundings now seemed imbued with a strange, unsettling quality.
Every creak of the floor and distant echo from the hallway felt out of sync, adding to the disorienting effect. The lounge, which should have been a straightforward location, now felt like a labyrinth of uncertainty. Komi felt lost, grappling with the confusion of the scene and the enigma of the mysterious man, unsure of what to make of the perplexing situation unfolding before her. Komi had never seen him before.
She'd never seen him before.
"Do you know where All Might is? I just need to speak with him for a moment." Komi told the skinny tall man.
The man blinked slowly, his face momentarily falling into a look of deep contemplation. But then, with a jolt, his expression transformed into one of what seemed like...pride? It was a fleeting, almost performative gesture, but it held a glimmer of something genuine. He offered Komi a kind smile—rare, yet somehow familiar. She had seen this smile before, though its meaning now seemed shrouded in layers of uncertainty.
He was about to reveal something significant, and it was evident from the gravity etched into his features. The air seemed to thicken with anticipation as he addressed her directly.
"Young Shizuki, I suppose you may be unaware due to your recent blindness," the blond man said, his voice carrying a mixture of sympathy and underlying gravity. Komi's heart sank, her face reflecting the sudden weight of the situation. "I am All Might!"
