Komi's dorm room door was the same colour as everyone else's. The same beige brown with a twinge of green... or maybe yellow.
The green or yellow question had popped up in Bakugo's mind after he had stared at her door for the last 5 minutes.

He was meant to knock on it, but discovering the undertone of green or yellow seemed to be a little more important than knocking on her door. By now, about 11 minutes had passed.
11 minutes and about a million thoughts in his head.

Firstly, he knew that he wasn't doing this because Endeavour told him to. That sack of nuts had nothing to do with Bakugo's sudden change of plans...at all...totally... SHUT UP! That was like a whole 4 days ago, so who cared?!

Secondly...what if she said no?
Because Bakugo had seen the colour of Komi's dress already when the class went out to shop for the formal attire. The bag was clear, so he saw the red. The exact same red that was his tie. His father's tie some years ago. But the suit? That could not possibly be matching...even if it was black and it probably would match Komi's hair.

But they might look matching. And if she said 'nuh uh' then he rocked up matching with her, would she think he was a freak?

...But what if she said yes and then Bakugo matched, would she also think he was a freak because that's basically the same situation, one just started positive and had the same outcome.

His foot had slowly been tapping the ground as his hands were on his hips and he stared angrily at Komi's door, not sure if it was green or yellow. Because that's obviously what he was thinking about.

Why would I care about some dumb dance? He thought, digging his hands as pretending he could be blasé about this whole thing. His eyes then fell back to the unknown undertone colour of the door that Komi was behind. Okay, who am I kidding?

He was about to ask her to the dance. His heart pounded at the thought, his palms sweaty. He had no idea why he was nervous. It's not like he cared about the dance. But the moment she entered his thoughts, it felt like everything in his world—his perfectly constructed, loud, and chaotic world—was about to shatter.

He would knock on the door and Komi would answer, and he see her. And her eyes. And then he'd say the door had an undertone of green, even though it was yellow, but green would be the only colour he could think about.

Bakugo then froze for one moment and then out a scream of frustration because how was he let it come this fucking far? And the fuck has he let himself think that Komi would say no? He's perfect, she should be the one asking him!

Following his war-cry, Bakugo pounded his fist on Komi's door.

"Oi, Webs!" Bakugo called, his voice rougher than he intended.

After a moment or two, out opened the door to revealed a rather confused looking Komi who's hair was wet from a shower and currently wearing her pajama's.
Bakugo opened his mouth to instantly ask her, but then the crushing weight of realizing he had to ask her now had dawned on him.

"Go to...." Bakugo's mouth went dry. What was this fucking girl doing to him? "...Are those Hello Kitty pants?"

Komi's confused face then turned into a smile and she looked down to her bright pink pants that held the character plastered all over them. "Mina got them for me, they're cute, aren't they?"

Komi stuck her leg out and did a little show for Bakugo, making the ash blond smile...yes making him smile.
He wiped that damn smirk off his face. This is serious, he has to be serious.

He took a deep breath, his hands shaking slightly as he clenched them into fists. Focus, Bakugo. You're fucking Bakugo Katsuki. You don't back down from anything. Not from stupid villains, not from heroes who get in your way, and definitely not from some dance. She's not gonna say no. She won't even know what hit her.
