❤️ROSE❤️
MONDAY MORNING.....
"Did you have a good night's sleep?" Mr Caesar asked, handling the wheel.
We are on our way to school in his car. My mum decided to go with Mr Smith after Mr Caesar came to check up on me. He has been checking up on me since the incident at his parents' house. Texting my mum about me, asking to speak to me and everything.
"Yes, I did." I said, smiling at him.
"My day is blessed with that smile," he said, looking at me with a smile.
I lowered my gaze, still smiling, and I sensed him facing the road. I moved my gaze to the window.
After that night at his parents' house, my conscience wouldn't let me push him away like I always do. He saved me from drowning and has been a nice boss to my mother.
It would be ungrateful of me to continue pushing him away. He literally gave us a house and a car.
And a job for my mum. My mum has been happy since we moved into the house and since she started working for his company.
I have to accept who he is to me. My legal guardian like he always says he is.
He is not a bad person. Just that he lied to me. But he is far better than CJ.
Speaking of CJ, I didn't see him all through. I recall him in the pool with me as well that night. I didn't see him after the party or the next day.
Funny thing is, I couldn't stop thinking about him the entire weekend. I am thinking about him right now.
I guess I will see him at school.
Why am I even thinking about him though? He clearly doesn't care about me.
He has been playing around with those stupid words he said to me about being in love with me. He is just a jerk.
Stop thinking about him already.
Why was he in the pool though?
To show off or what?
Annoying person.
"You said something?" Mr Caesar asked, making me look at him.
"Huh?"
"I thought you muttered something." He said.
"N...no, I didn't." I stuttered, clearing my throat.
"I was wondering. Would you like to go to your favorite ice-cream spot after school to get some ice-cream?" He asked.
I instantly felt uneasy.
"It's okay if you don't want to go. I will under...."
"Sure," I chirped in, making him smile.
"Really?"
I nodded. "Yeah,"
"Cool. I will pick you up after school." he said.
"Okay," I said.
He let out a breath, looking excited as he moved his hands on the wheel.
I looked at the window, heaving a sigh as I thought about my decision.
It is fine, Rose.
It is just ice-cream.
No big deal. I used to have no problem spending time with him. I used to be excited.
I can cope.
But this time, not as a soon-to-be girlfriend.
We got to the school compound and he pulled over.
