Tears approached my eyes as I remained on the floor, staring at him.

He is scowling down at me.

The pain in my heart right now can't be compared to all the previous pain he has given me since I met him.

"CJ, what the hell?" Luther said as him and Zach approached him.

"Dude, what have you done?" Zach asked.

CJ was looking at me.

I was looking at him too, but with disbelief.

"Rosy," I heard Joey's call, and he placed his hand on my shoulder.

He and Seline helped me up as I kept staring at CJ. His friends were saying something to him.

"What the fuck do you mean? She bumped into me. You know I fucking hate that," CJ said, scowling at me.

I scoffed internally.

"You don't do that. That is Rose," Luther said to him, pointing at me.

"I don't give a damn who she is. Stop pointing her out to me. Both of you!" CJ yelled at his friends before walking past without sparing me another look.

"CJ," Luther and Zach called in unison.

He didn't respond.

Luther heaved a sigh.

With my brimming eyes, I stared at him as he walked away.

Joey and Seline placed their hands on my arm, rubbing them slightly, making me look at them.

They are giving me a sympathetic look.

I lowered my gaze as my tears begged to flow.

I sensed Luther walking towards me, making me look at him.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"No. She is not okay. Your friend is an irredeemable jerk," Seline chipped in, making Luther look at her.

Luther heaved a sigh as he looked at me.

"I am sorry for what happened. We all know his condition. He can't remember a thing," Luther said.

Seline scoffed.

"Yeah right. That shouldn't give him enough reason to do that to Rosy," Joey said.

"Exactly. The fact that he did this to Rose in his condition tells who he is. I think it is best you all stay away from us. "

"Seline... "

"I mean it," Seline snarled, making Luther's face twitch.

"Let's go, Rose," Seline said.

"Let's go," Joey said as we walked past Luther.

Tears found their way out, but I wiped them off as we got to my locker.

I took my keys from my back, but they fell out of my hands.

I reached to pick it up. Joey was fast enough to pick it up for me.

"Here,"

"Thanks," I said, taking the key from him as I unlocked my locker.

"Rose, don't let this get to you," Seline said as I searched for an unknown book with my weak hands.

"Yes. It is not worth it. See this as your freedom. He won't pester you again about his feelings for you," Joey said.

I froze.

"Exactly. Perhaps this is for the best. All you have to do is avoid bumping into him. He doesn't, and won't know you exist." Seline said, making my heart clench.
