Bimbos?
Zach let out a slight scoff of disbelief.
"No, dude. That's Rose, your girlfriend."
"The fuck?" CJ said, making a disgusted face as he looked between his friends and me.
My legs weakened the more.
"I mean not entirely your girlfriend, but you were crazy about her," Zach said.
"Yes, you wanted her to be your girlfriend so badly," Luther said.
"You told me how much you loved her right before this tragedy happened, sweetie," his aunt chipped in.
"I did?" CJ asked.
"Yes!" The three of them said in unison.
CJ looked at me.
I stood there dumbfounded but looking at him as his eyes scanned me in an unpleasant way.
"You guys aren't making sense. She is clearly not my type, for starters."
My heart tightened.
His aunt heaved a frustrated sigh.
"That's not my type. You guys know my type," he added, looking at his friends.
Is this really happening?
"Of course we do," Zach said.
"We were surprised too, but you changed and did a lot of things just for her," Luther said.
"Yeah. We almost fought because of that. Because of her," Zach said.
CJ scoffed as he stared at me from head to toe. "I must be out of my mind then. I don't do girls like that. Look at her,"
Wha....
"The only girlfriend I know is Leila. Why isn't she here, by the way?"
A sharp pain crossed my heart.
Leila?
My brimming eyes moved to his friends.
They are all sharing a confused look. Including his aunt.
"Leila?" Luther asked.
"Yeah. Why isn't she here?" CJ asked.
"Dude, you were done with Leila a long time ago," Zach said.
CJ furrowed his brows.
"Yes. You even dated Jane before pursuing Rose here," Luther said, looking at me.
"Who the fuck is that?" CJ asked.
I furrowed my brows.
"Jane Carmen. The transfer student," Luther said.
"I don't know who that is."
Zach and Luther shared another confused look again.
What is going on?
What is happening? Why can't he remember me?
He is not pretending, is he? To punish me?
"Honey, are you okay?" His aunt asked, cupping his cheek.
"I am fine."
"Do you feel pain or something? Why can't you remember? That's the girl you have always been talking about." She said, making him look at me.
I felt a lot of mixed feelings because of his stare.
"You told me how much you love her."
My heart reacted as I recalled him telling me that countless times.
