"So I will be seeing you all next time. Do have a nice day," Our teacher said, packing his things and headed out of the class.

The class murmured as he walked away. Some got on their feet, moving around and laughing with one another. Like that, the peaceful and calm class is back to a noisy one.

I relaxed on my seat, letting out a frustrated sigh.

"Rosy, CJ is your partner." Joey whispered in my ear. Like I don't know that.

"I know," I whispered back.

"What are you going to do?" He asked.

I looked towards CJ's way. He is seated still, moving his pen in his notebook. He is not minding the noise, neither is he joining them.

He is just seated still, writing in his notebook.

What is he even writing?

Class is over.

Why do I even care?

I shrugged. "I don't know." I answered Joey's question.

I saw Luther and Zach move towards CJ, making me face my book.

This keeps getting better and better. I have to do another project with CJ.

Well, it is not a big deal. We will go with the usual, which is, I will do our project all by myself. And he doesn't have to do anything or talk to me.

Great.

That's settled.

"Well, I get to write my project with Leila. Mine is the worst." Joey said, making me chuckle.

"Worse indeed." I supported.

"Well, I am not bothered. I will punch her face if she starts her shitty behavior with me." He said.

I turned to him. "No, Joey. Don't do that. Just endure till the end. Besides, we have just one week."

He scoffed. "Fine. But she has to keep it together. Or else I'll...."

"Don't do anything. Geez."

"Okay, okay, fine. I won't do anything. But....."

"No buts, please. Do you want to get into trouble?"

He tuts.

"Leila is a big description for trouble. Don't fall into her trap," I advised.

"Fine. I will keep it together. And I hope not to die within."

I rolled my eyes playfully. "Of course you won't."

"Good day, class, "Our History teacher greeted us as he walked towards the board.

I heaved a sigh, turning to my notebook.

"Great. Just what we needed," I heard Joey say.

"Take out your notebooks and let's begin today's lesson.

Seriously, school is hard work!

High school is like this, I wonder how college will be.

I bet double hard work.

I don't even have friends who would tell me about college.

Joey might. I mean his sister is going to college. She must have told him how it was.

I will ask him later.

"So, today we are going to talk about the history of the Pharaohs in Egypt." Our teacher went on.
