"Rose is very much younger than you, son." Caesar's mother got his attention.
"Even though she is eighteen, she is still a minor. And she is your son's age."
Caesar's eyes moved from his mother and rested on a random place.
"I prefer you place your interest in her mother instead of her. She is absolutely gorgeous and around your age." His mother said, waving at someone who had just waved at her.
"See her as the older version of Rose." His mother said.
He heaved a sigh, rolling his eyes slightly.
"Just forget about that little girl. She is only fit for people around her age. Like...."
"Don't say your grandson's name, mother." He retorted.
"Honey...."
"No. I have accepted that I can't have anything to do with her, but I will not allow her to be with someone as fucked up as your grandson."
His mother's face twitched. "Caesar,"
"Excuse me," he said, walking past her.
She heaved a sigh as she stared at him walking away.
"What's wrong?" Her husband asked.
She shook her head.
Caesar walked past Claudia and Nicholas, who seemed to be in an argument.
"I just want to talk to you," Nick said.
"Go to hell, Nick. I don't want to speak to you." Claudia snapped, turning to walk away, but Nick held her.
Claudia snatched her hand from his hold.
"Claudia, please," Nick whispered.
"My daughter doesn't want you. She is my life, so I will do as she says. Stay the hell away from me, you bastard." She said, walking away.
Nick heaved a sigh as he stared at her walking away. His wife appeared behind him.
"You had better get some explanation for this, Nicholas Adams." She said, scowling at him.
Adam closed his eyes, letting out a sigh.
At the food buffet table, Seline and Rose smiled at each other, excited to eat whatever they wanted.
Actually, Seline is excited. Rose just wanted to get the night over with.
"What about Joey?" Seline asked, her mouth stuffed.
"He didn't come. No one invited him." Rose said.
"Yeah, I wouldn't be here if Luther hadn't asked me to be his date." Seline said, shrugging.
"Well, I am glad you are here," Rose said.
"Me too." Seline said, grinning. Rose smiled.
"Why aren't you with him? Luther?" Rose asked.
"He is with his friends. He is not giving me much attention, so I was looking around till I found you." Seline said, sounding unhappy as she stared at her chocolate.
Rose stared at her sympathetically.
"I don't think he likes me that much, you know," Seline said, looking at Rose.
"Do you like him that much?" Rose asked.
Seline shrugged.
Rose got her answer. She moved closer to Seline and placed her hand on Seline's shoulder.
