THIRD POV

AT BROWN GRANDPARENTS' HOUSE....
A FEW MINUTES LATER....

CJ moved his fork for his meal without interest, as a certain someone filled his head.

He is seated on the huge dining table alone, rubbing his temples slightly as he rested his elbow on the table and held his temples slightly.

Isabel, dressed in her pink pajamas, walked out of the kitchen with two glasses of orange juice in her hands and moved towards the head seat which CJ is seated next to.

"Here you go," she said, placing a glass in front of CJ.

"Thanks," he simply said without looking at her.

She gulped almost half of her juice while looking at him. She placed the glass down as she stared at the way he was playing with his meal.

And wearing a long unhappy face.

She furrowed her brows at him.

"Junior?"

He didn't respond.

"Okay, what's wrong?" She asked.

He shrugged slightly. "Nothing."

"No. Something is wrong. What is it?"

He didn't respond but placed his fork down and relaxed on the seat.

"You haven't even eaten anything yet," she said, looking at his untouched meal.

"I am not hungry," he said, without looking at her.

She scoffed. "It is pasta and chicken sauce, Junior. Your favorite. You are always hungry whenever I make it for you."

He heaved a sigh as his phone on the table next to his meal beeped.

He extended his hand and picked up the phone.

He saw some texts from Zach and Luther in their group chat about the Halloween party.

They read, "We are getting ready, dude."

"Aren't you coming?"

CJ didn't give a response but switched off his phone and put it down.

"Who was that?" His aunt asked.

"My friends. It's about the stupid Halloween party."

"Stupid?"

He sucked his teeth. "I don't feel like partying right now, aunt."

"Why not, sweetie? What is going on with you?" She asked.

"Nothing, aunt. Just drop it," he said calmly, getting annoyed.

She scoffed. "I am not...."

"Is that how you speak to your only aunt who cares so much about you?" CJ's grandfather chipped in, walking towards the seat next to Isabel.

He is dressed in his black robe, holding his phone.

CJ heaved a sigh.

Isabel moved to get up, so her dad would sit on his head seat, but he gave her a sign to remain seated as he took the seat next to her.

His eyes rested on CJ.

CJ looked at him.

"Apologize to your aunt,"

CJ looked at Isabel. "I am sorry, aunt."

Isabel placed her hand on his wrist, rubbing it slightly as she gave him a tiny smile.
