His eyes rested on me after he said that.
My heart melted but raced at the same time as I took in his piercing green eyes that were looking at me with some emotions I can't explain.
"You changed me, Rose. And I am glad you did." He said, still looking at me.
I lowered my gaze, feeling pressure within.
"How is it going?" Mum asked, making me move my own randomly on my notebook.
"Going well, ma'am," CJ answered.
"Alright. I will be in my room." She said and I flickered my eyes towards her. She is walking towards the hallway, heading towards her room.
"What exactly is it you did for my dad to make him give you this place?" CJ asked.
I looked at him.
He is looking at me.
I scoffed. "Is that what you are here for?"
"No,"
"Then let's focus on the project please," I said.
"Sure," he shrugged.
"Thank you," I said, looking down at the next question.
"She doesn't know you dated my dad, does she?"
I heaved a sigh, placing my pen down as I looked at him.
He is looking at me.
"Why? You want to tell her?"
"I am just...."
"Go ahead then. Go tell her." I retorted.
"What?"
"Her room is the last one on your left." I said, gesturing towards the hallway behind him.
"Go there and tell her everything." I said, picking up my pen.
"Okay," he said, getting on his feet.
What the heck?
He headed for the hallway.
My heart skipped as I quickly got on my feet and ran towards him.
"CJ!" I whispered as I hurried towards him. He was still walking.
I quickly blocked his way and pushed him back slightly.
"What is wrong with you?" I whispered, looking behind me and then at him.
"You said I should go ahead and tell her everything."
"What?" I whispered.
"That's literally what I am going to do," he said, gesturing his hand towards the road.
"No...."
He tried to walk past me. "You said the last room on the....."
I blocked his way again, feeling my heart beating faster. "Shh, are you insane? That was sarcasm. Do you want to get me in trouble?"
"You sounded confident that you wouldn't get into trouble. So let me just...." He said, moving to walk, but I pushed him back gently.
"No. Stop this, CJ. I mean it!" I whispered aloud, glaring at him.
He stood still and put his hands into his pockets.
I placed my hand on my temples, letting out a frustrated breath.
"Can we just go back to the project, please,"
"Sure," he said, turning to walk back.
I let out a sigh and followed him behind, but the next thing he did terrorized me.
