My heart picked up as I rested my eyes on Mr Caesar.
He is smiling a little at me.
What is he doing here?
Both of them are dressed in casual attire. Ken is holding a bouquet of flowers and Mr Caesar is with nothing, standing there with his hands in his pockets, looking right at me.
What is he doing here?
I thought we were only expecting Ken. Why is Mr Caesar here as well?
"Aren't you going to let us in?" Ken asked, making me look at him.
He raised his brows at me.
I moved aside, lowering my gaze as Ken walked in first. Mr Caesar followed suit, but I could feel his eyes on me as he entered.
"Where is my queen?" Ken asked as I closed the door.
"Ken," I heard my mum call, making me look at them. My mum is wearing a beautiful pink dress, looking very beautiful.
"There she is," Ken said, opening his arms for her.
Mum chuckled as she walked towards him and they hugged each other.
My phone beeped, making me look at it. I got texts from Seline and Joey.
I looked up from my phone and locked eyes with Mr Caesar.
I felt very awkward.
"You look stunning," Ken said, attracting my attention. He was staring admirably at my mum, who chuckled at his compliment.
"Here," Ken said, handing over the flowers to my mum.
"Oh my God, thank you honey," mum said.
"Beautiful flowers for the queen of my heart," Ken said.
My mum tilted her head a little. "Aw. Thank you, baby,"
"Hello, Claudia," Mr Caesar spoke up.
"Sir, good evening," mum said, looking surprised. "I didn't know you were coming as well,"
Mr Caesar gave a little smile.
"I am sorry, honey, but I had issues with my ride so he offered to take me, but he is leaving right away," Ken said, giving me a relieved feeling.
"Leave? No. He is already here. Why don't you stay, sir? I made more than enough meal."
"Mum," I called, claiming their attention.
"What?" Mum asked in a low tone.
I shook my head slightly at her.
She furrowed her brows at me.
"I think it is best I leave," Mr Caesar said, taking a step back.
"No, no. Please stay. I can't let you go. Please stay and have dinner with us," mum said.
I lowered my gaze, feeling weird and unhappy.
My mum can be very overbearing.
Why is she doing this?
"Okay. If you insist," Mr Caesar said.
"I insist, sir."
Ugh!
"Come, let us all go to the table. The meal is getting cold" she said, taking Ken's hand and leading us to the table.
I headed towards the rooms but....
"Where are you going, sweetie?" Mum asked, stopping me on my track.
I looked at her. The three of them are looking at me. I locked eyes with Mr Caesar.
