Chapter 108

My heart picked up as I stared at him. He is dressed in a black hoodie which has his hair out, covering his temples a bit. The zip of his hoodie is left open, revealing his white t-shirt and black trousers. He has his bag hanging on one of his shoulders with his hand holding it.

Everyone was also staring at him with surprise as well.

He is literally giving Zach a dead stare. And Luther was standing next to him.

Like he is.....like he is angry at what Zach is doing.

"CJ, guess what this little punk did. He...."

"I said, leave him alone." CJ cut Zach off, making me raise my brows in surprise as he approached. He got closer to me, increasing my heart's pace. His death stared still at Zach as he walked past me, heading towards Zach with Luther following him behind.

Zach released the boy, and he almost fell, but CJ held his hand, preventing him from falling.

I watched as CJ dusted the boy's shoulders and arm.

"Go," CJ said to him.

Wait, what?

"Thank you.....thank you," the boy stuttered, taking terrified steps backwards and ran away.

"Hey....." Zach called, making steps to go after the boy, but CJ pushed him to the wall and pinned him with his elbow on his neck, earning a surprised gasp from everyone.

I am beyond surprised myself.

Is this really happening?

Zach is looking at CJ with surprise.

"CJ, calm down," Luther said to CJ.

I can see how CJ is glaring at Zach right now.

Aren't they friends anymore?

"CJ," Luther called, placing his hand on CJ's arm to stop him holding Zach like that.

CJ released Zach and stormed away angrily. I stared at him as he walked.

"Fuck off," I heard Zach say, making me look his way. He is walking away angrily towards a different direction, leaving Luther with the other guys.

"What are you all looking at?!" Luther yelled before walking towards the direction CJ passed through as everyone continued whatever they were doing.

What just happened?

I made steps towards the lockers side till I got to my locker.

I was about to unlock it, but I thought of following Luther.

No, Rose. Just forget about them.

I let out a sigh as my curiosity controlled my legs. I walked towards the direction Luther followed, and I got closer to our class.

I saw Luther entering the class and took slow steps towards the entrance door.

"CJ," I heard Luther call.

"Save it," I heard CJ's angry voice, making my heart pick up.

"You shouldn't have humiliated him like that in front of everyone," Luther said.

CJ scoffed. "We have been humiliating people our entire lives. What makes this any different?"

My heart reacted.

"He is our friend. We are like brothers. You shouldn't have done that," Luther said.

"He should have listened to me when I told him to leave that boy alone," CJ said.
