"Be strong for us, and it will give us the power to fight against all odds."

He leaned down and then kissed my belly. More tears formed in my eyes when he did that. I cupped his face in both my hands and pulled him up. I kissed his lips while closing my eyes. More tears slid down from my eyes. He cupped my face, too, and kissed me back with the same love and passion. He broke the kiss and then pressed his lips all over my face lovingly. It made me chuckle.

"I love you," he whispered on my lips and contented our lips once again. I felt so happy when he said that to me. I wanted to say it back, but those words refused to fall from my mouth. He pecked my lips for the last time and then kissed my forehead.

"Let's go," he said while helping me get down from bed. He made me sit in the car and then fastened my seatbelt before going to his side. He drove out of the hospital. I kept looking out of the window. I was feeling much better after the drips. I felt like I had regained my lost energy, which I had lost from my morning sickness. My brows furrowed slightly when I saw him taking a different route. It doesn't go to our house. I turned my head and looked at Erick, who was concentrating on driving.

"Where are we going?" I asked him with slightly furrowed brows.

"To meet grandma. I have to tell her and family before they come to know from someone else, he said while still concentrating on the road.

"Hmm," I hummed while looking at him. It was high time we told her. Grandma holds a very big role in his life after his mother. She supported him when I was not there, and Xanthus's parents never differentiated between the kids. Xanthus's father helped him in settling his business even when he refused to take help. He stood behind him like his father. He is a great man and father. His wife was no less. I have seen her supporting Erick with her husband. I think only because of them he managed to survive this world without me beside him. We have to tell them about our marriage and pregnancy. It took us half an hour to get there. I took a small nap in the meantime. He woke me up, and then we went inside.

"Oh my, what a surprise," Grandma said with a big smile while looking at us. She was sitting in the living room enjoying her tea with Xanthus's mother. She, too, smiled while looking at us.

"Grandma," he said while going to her with open arms. She stood up and hugged him properly.

"My child, how have you been?" she said while patting his back lovingly. I hugged Xanthu's mother. She hugged me tightly.

"You have not come to meet me since Xanthus got married," she complained while hugging me. I chuckled.

"I was a little busy with work," I told her the truth and a few other things too.

"I'm all good with how you're held," Xanthus said with a smile.

"I'm feeling much better after seeing your face," she said and then kissed his forehead. She has a soft corner for Erick because he grew up without his parents. I went and hugged her and then asked her about her health. Once we were done, we settled in our seats, and the helper served us tea.

"We were just talking about you both," Xanthus's mother said while looking at us. She took a sip of her tea in between.

"What were you talking about?" I asked while sipping the tea. Erick gave me biscuits, asking me to eat them with tea. I refused, but he gave me eyes, saying to eat it. Grandma and Isabella's mother smiled, looking at our small exchange of conversation, and threw her eyes.

"I was thinking it's been so long since you both got engaged. It's high time you should get married now, she said while looking at us and then took a sip of her tea. Erick cleared his throat and kept his cup on the table.

"I'm here to talk about it," he said, and Grandma's eyes widened in happiness.

"You have decided on a date to marry," she asked excitedly while looking at us.

"No," he said, and her brows furrowed.

"We are here to tell you that we already got married," he said, and both the ladies gasped in shock.

"What!" "When?" both of them asked at the same time.

"I don't know why my grandkids got married only on paper. First Xanthus and now you. Are we running out of money? Am I incapable of holding a proper wedding for my grandchildren?" Grandma asked with a sad look on her face while looking at both of us.

"Grandma, we didn't have any choice. Our situation made us get married like that," I said while holding Erick's arm with both hands.

"Mom, listen to them first. They must have their reasons, and your one more grandkid is still unmarried. We will do everything you wanted to do at Isabella's wedding," Xanthus's mother said while looking at us and then at her. Erick took a deep breath and then told her everything.

"How is your father now?" Grandma asked with a concerned look in her eyes. I felt a bitter taste in my mouth when she asked me that.

"He is doing much better now," I told her while swallowing that bitter taste.

"Thank God. I think we should hold a proper wedding for both of you now," she said, still not giving up on the idea of getting us married properly. She has an old belief. She has been a religious woman all her life.

"Before that, we want to tell you one more thing," Erick said while looking at them.

"What is it?" Isabella's mother asked with slightly furrowed brows. He took a deep breath. He looked nervous to tell them he was going to be a father. I have not seen him getting nervous like this. It made me bite my lower lip to stop smiling. Both the ladies kept looking at him, making him even more nervous. He took a deep breath before opening his mouth.

"We are expecting," he finally said, and both the women were stunned, and then suddenly, they squealed with happy faces.

"You gave us such great news," Grandma said while opening her arms and asking me to come to her. I stood up and then hugged her. She kissed my head lovingly.

"It's such happy news," Xanthus's mother said and then hugged Erick.

"You both deserve all the happiness in this world," she said while lovingly caressing Erick's face with moist eyes. He blinked away his tears and nodded his head with a smile.

"It's the call for celebration," Grandma announced and then hugged me again. On the other hand, I couldn't hold back my tears. I looked at Erick, and I was already looking at me. For the first time, I felt the happiness of being pregnant. We were happy after telling them.

I wish happiness stays with us for as long as possible.

I inhaled His intoxicating scent and it relaxed my body. I don't know when I ended up falling asleep in his arms. I was having the best nap of my life when I heard a loud shouting.

"Where is that bich!"
