Harry Potter One Shots

September 1st Special

(Happy September 1st!!! I wanted to do a special for the first day of Hogwarts. Today is August 31st, and I have no idea what I'm doing for this yet, so let's see.)

(Y/n's P.O.V)

Hi, I'm Y/n, the assistant Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor. The students arrive tomorrow, so I help Professor Lupin prepare for the new term.

Stretching, I got up out of bed. Yawning, I moved towards my chest of draws, grabbing some jeggings, a purple T-shirt, and a denim jacket when I left bed. I shower and get changed before putting my hair up in a bun.

Once I was ready for the day, I made my way down to breakfast. I sat next to my parents. Did I mention Professor Lupin is my Papa? No? Well, he is, and so is his Husband, Sirius. I ate my food quickly before making my way to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.

I went straight through the classroom to the office. If I have learnt anything being raised by Remus Lupin it is to always have a supply of Chocolate on hand. I open my snack draw of my desk grabbing the bag of Honeydukes treats that I had gotten the day before and started to restock, I had chocolate frogs, some Lolly pops, pumpkin pastry's, cauldron cakes, Bertie Botts every flavored beans, some muggle chocolate, some sherbet lemons that Professor Dumbledore gave me, some cookies the House elves had baked for me along with other muggle treats I had found last time I had been to the muggle world

I restock my father's draw as well then lock them both so that only we can open them as my Dad Sirius Black loves to steal our snacks.

Once I had finished with the snack draws, I moved on to the next draw, restocking our ink supply and swapping our old quills with some fresh new ones. Replenishing our stocks of parchment. In my bottom draw I kept a supply for the ladies, which I restocked, in my father's bottom drawer he kept spare supplies of quills, parchment and books that were needed for the year in case anyone didn't have it or had lost theirs. Surprisingly this draw also needed to be restocked it, more often than not nothing in this draw would be used.

Next, I moved onto our bookshelves. We liked to keep our books in alphabetical order we both keep it pretty much in order I shuffled a couple books around and put the books that sat on our desks away. At this point Father walked in.

"Hey Pup! Looking good. Once your finished in the classroom you should read my lesson plans for the full moon. I think your ready to take over the classes." Usually when Papa had to take a break from classes another Professor would come and help me with lessons.

"Really Papa! Thank you!" I gave him a hug before running downstairs to the classroom.

I went about rearranging the furniture in the classroom, I liked things to have a place, organizing things was one of my favorite things to do but I never had energy to do so. Things were a lot easier now than when I was a kid because with a flick of my wand the tables and chairs were cleaning themselves and the floor was being swept while all the decorations, books and nicknacks throughout the room were being dusted.

While all that was going on in the classroom, I made my way upstairs to read the lesson plans. I was sitting and reading for three hours before I got up for lunch. I made my way out of school grounds and instead apparated to Diagon Alley.

Making my way through the bustling street, families doing their last-minute shopping I pushed my way through them heading for the tall colorful building of Weasley Wizarding Wheezes.

I entered the shop which was just as busy as the street outside. I made my way through the shop waving to George Weasly  as I passed him at the counter. I made my way round back where I found his brother Fred making products.

"So while George, Ron and Lee are being swarmed by costumers you're back here hiding from it all." I say as I lean on a table nearby.

"I didn't want to be too busy when the most beautiful women to ever step foot in the store arrived." He said coming over and wrapping his arms around my waist pressing his lips against mine.

"So what are you making here?" I asked moving away from him and moving to where he had been steering a potion.

"Well we sold out on the swamp potion so I'm mixing more up. You arrived just in time though because it needs to sit for the next hour. Which is enough time for us to head to lunch." He told me wrapping an arm around my waist.

"Shouldn't you go help the others?" I asked kissing his cheek.

"Nah they will be fine!" He said leading me out to the main store.

He waved bye to his twin before leading me out of the store, as soon as we were out of the store, we apparated back to Hogsmeade.

We went to The Three Broomsticks. We got some butterbeer and some lunch. After lunch we walked around Hogsmeade for a while before Fred walked me back to Hogwarts, chatting with my parents before he left to go back to the shop.

I got back to reading lesson plans. Once I finished reading, I went for a walk around the grounds before dinner.

After dinner I went to bed early knowing this would be the last chance for me to have a good night sleep for the next year. The next morning, I woke up late changing into my robes and making my way down for breakfast.

Not many of the Professors were at breakfast at this time, my dad Sirius, Professor Hagrid and Professor Hooch were sitting at the table talking and eating. I sat with them serving up my food and beginning to eat my food while I talked to the others at the table.

I spent the morning reading books by the black lake. Joining the professors for lunch then my parents and I went down to Hogsmeade going to The Three Broomsticks for butterbeer where we met up with Fred we sat and chatted for a number of hours before the three of them left and I headed for the Hogsmeade station to meet the new first year students,
