Dear Diary,
It's Y/n Malfoy, and I can't help but think about how my beauty and family name have made me the most popular girl in Slytherin. Every boy wants to date me, and every girl wants to be me. I am aware of the expectations that come with being a Malfoy, and I have to uphold my reputation. However, I am not interested in any of the boys who approach me. They are just after me for my looks and wealth. My brother Draco is always protective of me, and he doesn't let me make my own friends. He threatens every boy who tries to approach me.
Gregory Goyal, a pureblood Slytherin, and his father, a Death Eater, are the only ones who do not bother me. We grew up together, and he is one of Draco's best friends. So, he is also my friend. Goyal is a nice guy, and I appreciate his friendship. His father is a Death Eater, and he wants his son to become one too. Father thinks that I am a precious and valuable asset to the family. He wants me to marry a pureblood Slytherin who is intelligent and the son of a Death Eater. Father will choose the perfect match for me and arrange my marriage with Goyal.
I do not care about love as it is for the Mudbloods and Blood Traitors like Granger and Weasel. I know that my family's legacy and reputation matter more than my personal desires. My father has always emphasized the importance of the family's status and has made it clear that my marriage is not just about me but also the family.
Today, while I was walking to class with my guards, Draco was in front of me, Crabbe and Goyal were on either side of me, Pansy was behind me, and Blaise was next to Draco. We heard someone calling me from behind us. A boy asked me to go to the Yule Ball with him. I was about to say no, but before I could respond, my brother spoke. He told the boy to leave, and I was going to the ball with Goyal.
I was annoyed with my father and brother as it was the first time I heard about it. They never tell me anything about my own life. I wish I could make my own choices, but I am a Malfoy, and I have to follow my family's rules. My brother and his friends are always around me, trying to protect me from the eyes of others. However, that never works, and I often feel trapped.
I am grateful for Goyal's friendship as he is the only one who understands me. I know that he will make a good partner, and I am willing to marry him for the sake of the family's legacy. Being a Malfoy is not easy, but it is my duty to uphold the family's reputation and continue the legacy.
Love Always,
Y/n Narcissa Malfoy
