(I will attempt to fix/finish another one of my old one-shots that never made it to Wattpad! This is actually from before I fell in love with the idea of Sirius and Remus as my parents, so this is a SiriusXReader)

(Y/n's P.O.V)

Nothing remains a secret forever.

Lily and James's location only remained secret for a short time.

The fact that Sirius was at the location didn't remain a secret for long.

The one secret that hasn't come to light is one that I intended to bring to light. What am I talking about, you may ask? I'm talking about the Murder of my sister Lily and her husband James. I can tell you with one hundred per cent certainty that Sirius Black did NOT give away their location or kill Peter Pettigrew, though I wish Peter were Dead.

Let me take you back to that night two months ago.

-----Two months before----

I sat on the bed, trying to put my runners on and failing horribly. I had been feeling useless. Being eight months pregnant, I hadn't been able to do much, and my husband wouldn't let me do the few things I could. Here comes my saviour now.

"Baby, do you need some help with your shoe there?" Sirius asked from the door, where he leaned against the frame.

"Please!" I sighed, dropping the shoe.

He walked over with a smirk, leaned down, and helped me put my shoes on. I wouldn't normally wear runners, but we were going for a walk tonight, so I couldn't wear slippers. Once my shoes were on, he helped me up.

"Shall we head off?" I asked as I walked towards the door.

"Are you sure you don't want to stay here tonight?" he asked, giving me puppy dog eyes.

"No! We promised Lily we would visit them! She's getting sick of only having James and Harry there! James is a big child, and Harry is a literal child!" I told him as I headed out the door.

"Exactly! Why add to the number of children there!" He huffed.

"Because Lily knows you will listen to me, and James will listen to you!" I say, smiling at him.

"What if I don't listen to you?" He asked, receiving a glare from me.

"Then you will be changing baby's nappies for a year!" I led the way to my sister's house, which was only a few blocks away.

When we turned the corner and the house came into view, I dropped to my knees. The house was in ruins. Sirius ran to my side to see what was wrong, but when he caught sight of the house, he suddenly ran off after Peter Pettigrew's retreating form.

After about ten minutes, I composed myself and got off the floor as I approached the house. My fingers were crossed in hopes there would be survivors, but as I got inside, I saw James on the stairs, dead. I walked up and knelt beside my brother-in-law for a moment before hearing cries.

"Harry!" Harry was alive! Maybe he and Lily were hiding.

I rushed down the hall until I found Harry's door open. As I rounded the corner, I saw... "LILY!" I fell to the ground again, letting the tears run as I clung to my sister.

"Y/N!" I heard Sirius call from downstairs but didn't reply as I held onto her.

I heard Sirius yells and footsteps grow closer till he came round the corner to find me. He ran to my side and pulled me into a hug.

"Pettigrew got away. Y/n, I'm sorry." He mumbled as I sobbed into his chest.

Just then, we heard a crash downstairs, and Sirius rushed downstairs, leaving Harry and me in his room. I moved over to my small nephew and picked him up. I comforted him, trying not to draw attention to us, hoping Sirius would scare off anyone downstairs. Instead, after a short silence, I heard heavy steps coming up the stairs, too heavy to be Sirius. I drew my wand, sitting Harry on my hip, using my body to shield him. I was prepared to hex anyone who came around that corner but was surprised to see Hagrid.

"Y/n! I'm so sorry!" He said, moving to hug me.

I was careful to shield Harry and my bump from the crushing hug.

"Hi, Hagrid." I greeted.

"I know you already lost your sister, but Dumbledore sent me to collect Harry," he said, rolling another tear down my cheek.

"No, please! He's all I have left of her!" I begged.

"I know. I'm sure Dumbledore will leave him with you! He needs to be checked to make sure he is okay, you know." Hagrid comforted.

I reluctantly handed over my nephew. I followed Hagrid as he headed down the stairs and back outside the house, where Sirius was waiting with his motorbike.

"Take my bike, get Harry to Dumbledore safely!" Sirius begged as he gave Hagrid the keys.

"Thank you!" Hagrid said, getting on the bike.

Sirius wrapped his arm around me. We waved Hagrid and Harry off before Sirius took me home. He made some tea, and we sat down when the door was closed.

"Sirius Black, you are under arrest for the murder of Lily and James Potter, Peter Pettigrew, and 13 muggles." One of the men said as they dragged Sirius out of his seat.

"What do you mean! He was with me! He didn't do anything!" I begged to try to hold him as they tried to pull him away.

"Y/n, it's okay! I'll see you again! I promise!" Sirius said as they shoved him towards the door.

"Not likely!" Laughed another man as they all apparated away.

----Present time---

It has been two months now, and I have a one-month-old daughter and a one-year-old nephew. My daughter Jane looked just like her father, and Harry looked just like his father but had his mother's eyes. Dumbledore had planned to leave Harry with my sister Petunia, but when I flew to his office crying and begging him not to take the last person I had away from me, he agreed to leave Harry with me.

Dumbledore believed that Sirius was innocent; Peter was the secret keeper. Peter was the reason I lost my sister, my brother-in-law, and my husband all in one night. I wouldn't rest until Peter Pettigrew was behind bars and Sirius Black was back at home, where he belonged, beside me, raising our daughter and nephew!
