(Y/n's P.O.V)
My heart sank as I reached the Potions Classroom. Despite being a Ravenclaw, I hated Potions. Professor Snape seemed to have a personal vendetta against me, and I couldn't figure out why. Maybe it was because I was a Muggleborn, or perhaps because I was friends with Harry, or he perhaps he didn't like me. Whatever the reason, I always felt like an outsider in his class.
To add to my troubles, I was always paired with Draco Malfoy, the Pureblood Slytherin, who was a complete and utter jerk. He seemed to enjoy ruining my potions and deducting points from our house. I detested him, and the feeling seemed to be mutual.
Today was going to be especially difficult because we were brewing the draught of living death, one of the most challenging potions. As always, I was paired with Draco, who sat idly while I got to work.
In a moment of distraction, I turned away to grab an ingredient, and I heard a plop as Draco put something in the potion. Before I could react, the potion exploded, covering me from head to toe. I felt nauseated and dizzy, and the smell of the room was overwhelming, including the scent of the dead mouse under Snape's desk. I squeezed my eyes shut trying to stop the overwhelming nausea.
I fell to the floor landing on my hands and knees trying to get a grip on the spinning room.
Suddenly, I felt a strange warmth rush over me, and the dizziness subsided. I opened my eyes, wondering if I had died. Snape and Draco stood over me, looking concerned. I could feel the cold floor under my hands and feet, so I knew I wasn't dead. But something was different. I looked at my hands... they were covered in fur?
"Take Miss Y/L/N to the Hospital Wing immediately, Mr. Malfoy," Snape ordered.
Draco picked me up, and we walked through the long corridors of Hogwarts. As we passed a window, I caught a glimpse of my reflection. I gasped in shock; I had transformed into a puppy! A cute and adorable one if I do say so myself.
Draco seemed surprised too, but he quickly regained his composure.
"I hope you won't remember this when you return, but I'm sorry. I never meant to hurt you. I never knew how to act; your muggle-born, and I'm supposed to hate you, but I don't. Quite the opposite. I love you, Y/n Y/l/n," he said, his voice full of emotion.
My heart skipped a beat; did he just say he loved me? But that's not possible right? he hates me!
"You're adorable; I'm surprised you haven't noticed my stare," he added, his eyes locked onto mine.
My confusion and surprise deepened but alongside it another feeling, a strange warmth in my heart. Could it be possible that Draco Malfoy actually had feelings for me? and did I like him back?
We finally reached the Hospital Wing, and Draco explained what had happened. Madam Pomfrey took me from Draco placing me on a bed. She went into her office presumably going to get an antidot.
"Y/n again I'm sorry... I'll see you in class." Draco left.
Madam Pomfrey returned pouring the potion into a bowl.
"This is going to make you s bit drowsy but when you wake up you should be yourself again." She placed the bowl in front of me as I slowly started licking it up.
I quickly drifted off to sleep, when I woke the next morning, I remembered the events of the previous morning.
I got out of the bed making my way out of the Hospital Wing heading for the Great Hall.
I wasn't far away when I spotted the person I was looking for.
"Malfoy!" I called, he turned surprised.
As he turned to look at me I stopped in front of him standing on my tip toes pressing a kiss to his lips, not caring who was watching as the sounds of shuffling feet stopped.
