I was running after my boyfriend, Newt Scamander, who was chasing a Lethifold;

(a mercifully rare creature found only in tropical climates. The Lethifold looked like a black cloak, gliding along the ground at night, about half an inch thick, though thicker if it had recently killed and digested a victim. Flavius Belby, a wizard, wrote the earliest account of a Lethifold in 1782 when he survived a Lethifold attack while vacationing in Papua New Guinea. As Belby dramatically reveals, the Patronus is the only spell to repel a Lethifold. Since it generally attacks the sleeping, its victims rarely have a chance to use any magic against it. Once it has suffocated its prey successfully, the Lethifold digests its food in its bed, then exits the house slightly thicker and fatter than before, leaving no trace of itself or its victim behind. It's a terrifying creature. I was terrified of the Lethifold, as it ate people whole, and Newt wanted to bring one into our home.

"Newt, get back here. It's too dangerous!" I pleaded with him.

"It's not too dangerous," he replied nonchalantly, without looking back.

I was panicking, as I knew how dangerous it was.

"Newt, I know you can see the good in each creature, but this one is different. It attacks when you're sleeping," I implored.

He finally turned to me, and I could see the determination in his eyes. I gulped, knowing what I would say would not be taken lightly.

"Listen, Newt, we can't bring this creature into our house because..." I hesitated, dreading his reaction.

"Because of what, (Y/N)?" he said sternly.

"Because...because I'm pregnant," I said, shaking slightly.

Newt's face softened, and I could see the surprise and joy in his eyes.

"What? You're pregnant?" he exclaimed.

I nodded, feeling relief wash over me as he hugged me tightly. I was relieved he had seen the reason and was happy about the baby.

"I'm going to be a father?" he said incredulously.

I smiled and joked, "Yes, that's what happens when you have a baby." With that, we left the Lethifold behind and headed home.

I was glad that Newt had understood and was thrilled about our baby.
