(Goodbye 2023! Hello, 2024! Happy New Year Everybody!!!)

(Y/n's P.O.V)

Everyone forgets little Y/n Krum; why would they remember me? I'm just Victor Krum's little sister. My brother Victor is famous because of his carer in the Bulgarian Quidditch team. Even though he is still in school compared to him, I'm nothing; I attend every one of his matches. This year, we participated in the Quidditch World Cup; sadly, Irland won, but that's okay. I still say Victor played well. After the match, I returned to our tent to wait for Victor, knowing he would be busy for hours.

The Irland team had their pride on. I could hear the fireworks and the cheers of everyone celebrating; wait, were they cheers? They sounded like screams. I poke my head out of my tent, seeing people running and screaming; tents were either flying through the air or burning to the ground. I tried to run towards where I had last seen Victor but got caught in the crowd running for the exit.

"VICTOR!" I screamed as I was carried into the forest.

People started to decipher, but I was still pushed side to side till I fell. I curl up in a ball, not wanting to be trampled.

"VICTOR!" I screamed, hoping he was nearby and that he would find me.After some time, I felt an arm trying to help me up. I lifted my head, hoping it was my brother, but the boy helping me was a tall block with ginger hair just above his shoulder; he was calling out to someone called Fred as he tried to help me.

"Are you okay, miss?" He asked as I got to my feet.

"Yes, thank you! I need to go back and find my brother, though." I say, dusting myself off.

"Your brother won't be back there; no one is. Everyone is leaving. It's not safe here. How about you come with me? My Dad can help you find your brother," he offered.

"Thank you for your offer, but I must return and ensure he is okay. If anything happens to him, my parents will kill me!" I try to walk past him, but he stops me.

"Okay, I'll come with you! How old is your brother?" He asked.

"Eighteen," I told him.

"Then he will be fine and probably back at home waiting for you; he should be looking for you, not the other way around!" He sighed.

"I'm sorry, but I don't think you are in a place to judge me. You know nothing about me, and I know you!" I huff, crossing my arms, getting sick of this boy.

"Fine, hello, my name is George Weasley. My father is a ministry worker, and I'm sure he can tell you if your brother got out safe, but he needs to know who your brother is, so may I have your name, miss?" He puffed out his chest and stood tall.

"Krum, Y/n Krum!" I smirked, standing up straighter, mimicking his earlier pose.

"Your Victor Krum's sister? Boy, Ron's going to be jealous!" George looked very excited at learning who I was.

"I don't know who Ron is, but I don't see why you are so happy; I need to find my brother!" I huffed again.

"Don't worry, Miss Krum, they would have evaluated him as fast as possible!" This boy was getting on my nerves.

"Then take me to your father or another ministry official who can tell me where my brother is." I crossed my arms again expectantly.

"Well, I have to tell Fred I'm going back and make sure he can care for Ginny himself." I roll my eyes but reluctantly wait for him to speak to his friends.

When George got back, he had drawn his wand and started back toward the camp but paused, looking up at what looked like a snake in the sky.He quickly ran toward where we found a group of ministry officials with their wands at three weak children.

"THAT'S MY SON!" One of them yelled, running in front of the children, his hand up as if it would block spells.

They were talking about the snake in the sky; it was a 'dark mark' or something. Everyone started running in the other direction, but the three kids and the Dad who had jumped in to save them.

"Dad!" George called to the man.

That means one of the two boys had to be his brother.

"George, what are you doing here? You should be with Fred and Ginny!" The Dad snapped.

"I know, but I ran into Y/n here, and she is trying to find her brother. I thought you may be able to help." George explained to his Dad.

"Whose your brother, dear?" The man asked.

"Victor Krum, sir. He was with his fans while I went back to the tent. I couldn't get back to him; I was swept away by the people," I explained.

"I'm afraid he went back home to Bulgaria. All the quidditch players were sent home." The group were all looking at me in shock.

"Oh no! That means I'm stuck here till someone comes back for me." I sob.

"Don't worry, Y/N. You can come back with us; Mum won't mind. We can let the Minister know that when someone comes back, they can collect you from our house," George suggested.

"George, the ministry has a flo network to Bulgaria. We can send her straight home!" George seemed upset by his father's words, but I ignored them, wanting to get back to my brother.

"Oh, please! I need to make sure my brother is okay." I beg.

"Don't you think we should wait until morning, Dad? The ministry is a bit busy trying to track down the death eaters," George reminded his father.

" I guess you're right, George. Y/N, would you mind staying with us tonight? I can check in on any updates and update you on your brother," the father asked.

"That doesn't bother me if you can ensure he made it home safely." George and his father smiled at me. George had a friendly, happy smile, and his father's was friendly and reassuring.

That night, I did stay with the Wealeys, all nine of them.
