19 Years Later

(Y/n's P.O.V)

After I moved in with Dad, everything fell into place; people didn't hate me so much; they feared me when they found out my real last name. Being a Snape is amazing, but that was nineteen years ago. Dad died at the Battle of Hogwarts, and so many more people died. I only knew Dad as my Dad for one year before he died.

Draco and I got married and have two kids: Severus, who is thirteen, and Minerva, who is eleven. Severus, like his Grandfather, Father, and I, is a Slytherin. Well, Minerva is off to Hogwarts this year, so we will find out on the second or third of September what house she is in.

I walked down the stairs of Malfoy Manner, which Narcissa had left to us before she fled the country to avoid the backlash of her and her husband being death eaters. Minerva ran over to me as her brother chased after her.

"Severus, what are you up to?" I turned to him as Minerva hid behind me.

"Nothing, Mum!" He said with puppy dog eyes.

"That isn't going to work on me anymore!" I told him, crossing my arms. Surprisingly, Draco was the softer parent, while I, on the other hand, was left as the strict parent.

"He spelled my book into a snake!" Minerva had been scared of snakes since her brother's 8th birthday when a snake got loose in its cage and found its way to her teddy tea party.

"Severus, you know you're not allowed to do magic outside of school!" Severus and Minerva were rather smart for their age which at times impressed even me, but at other times like this, it was just a pain in my ass.

"Sorry, Mum!" He said, giving me a hug.

"No, that isn't getting you out of trouble! Go to your room, and I'm taking your broom!" Severus glared at his sister before turning and going back to his room.

I took Minerva back to her room, reversed the spell, and went to take her brother's broom away, locking it in my own room. I heard the door open downstairs.

"Dad's home! Minerva called, running downstairs.

"Minerva, don't run downstairs; you will hurt yourself. Severus, turn yourself around and get back into your room!" I yelled as I walked towards the stairs.

I went downstairs, sighing. As I reached the bottom, Draco came over to my side and wrapped his arms around me.

"What's wrong, Baby?" He asked me before pressing a kiss to my forehead.

"Where to start? The kids made the biggest mess in the drawing room, and the house elves are still cleaning it up. Minerva refused to eat her lunch this morning, insisting she needed room in her stomach when she went to Hogwarts Tomorrow, and Severus decided to spell one of Minerva's books into a snake." I sighed again, closing my eyes.

----

The next day, we got up early, and Draco and I ran around the house doing everything the kids were supposed to do yesterday but didn't. Once we knew we had everything, we headed for the station. We only made it on time to wish them a quick goodbye, making them promise to write before rushing them onto the train. Draco and I returned to a quiet house. It was so weird the house hadn't been this quiet since before Severus was born. It felt empty being just the two of us in this massive Mannor.

----

A few days later, we got our first letter from Minerva, telling us she was also in Slytherin, that Professor McGonagall said hello, and that she would love to catch up sometime soon.

(Sorry this chapter is so long. I've literally had the start of this chapter since April, and I just wanted to get it done so I could work on getting some other old ones out and maybe work on some new ones!)
