(Welcome to ThatNerdyIdiots Harry Potter One-Shot; I take requests, so if ever you would like me to write about a particular character or have a story you want to bring to life, let me know, and I would be more than happy to get started on it as quickly as possible. I'm sorry if I fall behind or if my posting isn't very regular. Between work and babysitting my sister's kids, I don't have much time to write, but I will strive to work harder in 2024)

(Y/n's P.O.V)

The war was over. I can't say that we are all safe; there will always be loyalists and death eaters who escaped death, but for now, they are gone.

I ran to the Great Hall looking for my boyfriend, George. I found him and all the Weaslys, Harry, and Hermione around Fred... he was gone.

I held back the tears as I moved over to them, making my way through the group to where George was leant crying over the death of his twin. Molly saw me and let me through, giving me a hug, tears running down her cheeks as she sobbed.

"George," I said softly, moving closer to him.

"Y/N, he is gone." George sobbed, clinging to his brother as if he could bring him back.

"I know, baby. It's alright." I knelt to pull him into a hug as we cried.

"Y/N, I don't want to leave him", He cried.

"I know, George!" I hugged him again, placing a kiss on his cheek.

Molly tapped me on the shoulder before she pulled me away moments later. She leads me away from George towards where a couple lay dead on the floor... my father and stepmother.

"Y/N dear, I'm so sorry your parents didn't make it. They were together till the very end. I know you want to comfort her and George, but you should get your brother; you and Teddy need each other right now." She said, looking over to my Mother and Father.

"I'm okay, Molly. I want to stay with George." I lied; I was heartbroken, but seeing Teddy would complicate it. I couldn't meet my baby brother without my Dad by my side.

"Y/N", I hear George say my name. I turn around just as George hugs me, and I can no longer hold myself together as the tears start to stream down my face.

"Mum's right. Teddy needs you, and you need him." I just shook my head.

"I'm not leaving you!" I told him confidently.

George looked back at where his brother lay before looking back at me.

"Then let's go." George held me tight as he apparated to my Grandma's house, which broke my heart; I had never been there without my parents.

George sensed the pain, squeezed me tighter, and rubbed my back as my father would when I was upset. He led me to the door and rang the doorbell. I heard Teddy cry, and before long, my Grandma opened the door.

Seeing me standing there, tears streaming down both George's and my faces, my parents nowhere to be seen, she pulled me in close as she began to cry.

"Your parents loved you and Teddy so much. I'm so sorry that they didn't come home. In case something happened, they told me to give you Teddy; you are more than welcome to stay here or bring Teddy around as much as you want." I nodded in response before going in and grabbing Teddy from his cradle and comforting him, then returned to George, who hugged me once again.

"Bye, Gran. We will visit soon." Then we apparated to the house I grew up in.

George squeezed me again before taking Teddy from my arms and entering Teddy's nursery. I walked around for a bit, the memories flooding over me.

"This place is so big. Maybe we can keep it and don't have to change it. We can live here with Teddy and start a new life," George said, finally finding me in my parents' room.

"I think that's a great idea, George," I said, looking around.

I felt solid, comforting, warm arms wrap around me, so I leaned back into the man behind me.

He let go, and I walked into the nursery where Teddy was crying. I picked him up and started to sing him a lullaby.

As I finished the lullaby and put him into bed, I wiped a tear from my eyes as I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Let's let him sleep and head downstairs," George whispered as I leaned back, tears running down my face.

I nodded before he guided me to the lounge room, and we sat down on the couch. He whipped away my tears as we sat in each other's arms.

"I'm sorry about Fred," I whispered out.

"It's okay, there was nothing anyone could do." He kissed my forehead as tears fell onto my head.

I reached up, touched his cheek, and wiped the tears away. My hand trails over his missing ear. His parents had finally started being able to tell them apart, and now Fred was gone. George had lost his best friend, his other part; I couldn't imagine how that felt; yes, I had lost my parents, but I hardly knew Tonks, she had only just become my stepmother and my father. We had been very close, but Fred and George... well, there was no doubt they were closer. Those two boys had been inseparable from the day they were born.

---time skip---

The next day, we woke to the sound of Teddy crying. We had fallen asleep on the couch, our faces tear-stained. I wiped away the last tears as I got up, heading upstairs to the nursery Tonks had designed for Teddy.

---Time skip a couple of years---

George and I married two years after the war, and one year later, we had our first child... well. The children, Remus and Tonks, were now nearly two years old, while Teddy was five years old. I'm pregnant with our third child, a boy, George, and I want to call him Fred. I was sitting on the lounge room floor with George and Teddy, and we played Exploding Snap. The twins were asleep in their room on the second floor. As Teddy won yet again, screams echoed through the house. I checked on the twins while George cleaned up from our game.As I got up to the room, Remus and Tonks were gone...

(I have decided to go back through my old fanfics and fix them; some may be spelling errors, I'm sorry, others may be extended, and others may be changed entirely. These chapters were made up to seven years ago, so they need some work.)
