(Harry's P.O.V)
As I returned to Hogwarts with Ron and Hermione after the war, the rebuilding process was a long and challenging journey. We had to put in a lot of effort to restore the school to its former glory. Even Draco was roped in to help as part of his community service. It was an opportunity for us to work together, despite our previous animosity. Over the few months it took to rebuild
Hogwarts, we grew closer, and I found myself starting to appreciate his company.
Seventh years were welcomed back as eighth years to finish our last year at Hogwarts. It was an exciting prospect, and Hermione dragged Ron and me back to complete our studies. The dorm rooms only had room for the first through the seventh year, so we eighth years shared a dorm in the Room of Requirements. It was a unique experience for all of us, living with different people and making new friends.
While boys shared a room with Slytherins, Hufflepuffs, and Ravenclaws, the girls had their own room. The living situation was somewhat cramped, with only three Slytherins, including Draco, Blaise, and Pansy. The Hufflepuffs had half their students return, and all the Ravenclaws returned to complete their studies.
One day, as we were walking through the hallway, Ellie Lupin Black, a Ravenclaw girl in the year below us, called out to us. Ellie was a remarkable girl, despite having lost both her parents, Remus and Sirius, in the war. She was bright and tried to help everyone, even though she was dealing with her own grief. She was dating Professor Snape, which was a sensitive topic. I had to tell Draco about it, and he was surprised.
Suddenly, Draco blurted out that if their forbidden loves worked, why couldn't we be together. I was shocked when he said that, and I realized he had feelings for me. As he was just a little taller than me, I reached up, and we shared a passionate kiss. It was one of the best moments of my life. We became boyfriends, and we spent the rest of the evening cuddled up on the couch in our standard room, talking about our future together.
As the war ended, I returned to Hogwarts with Ron and Hermione. It was a surreal experience returning to the place where we had spent so many years and where we had fought against the dark forces. We were welcomed back as eighth-year students to finish our final year at Hogwarts, but it wasn't the same as before.
Hogwarts had been damaged in the war, and it took a few months to rebuild it. We all worked together to make it happen, including Draco, who had no choice but to help as part of his community service. I had to work alongside him, which was awkward at first, but over time, we grew closer. It was strange to think that the person I had once despised was now my ally.As the dorm rooms only accommodated first through seventh-year students, all eighth years shared a dorm in the Room of Requirements.
