(Y/n's P.O.V)

"What do you mean I've never played Quidditch?" I ask Harry as we stand in the hallway.

"I mean, you've never been on a broom. Not even for the first year in Flying Practice, Madam Hooch said your Father didn't want you near those 'Flying Death Traps', as he put it; she was never pleased about it. You never even come to matches. Last year, we had a big match against Durmstrung, and you were given permission to stay in and spend time with your Mother..." I cut him off mid-sentence.

"My Mother? That's impossible. I was only young when she died." Why does he think my Mother came to visit?

"No, she visits you frequently. She's a captivating woman; her y/e/c eyes perfectly match her chocolate brown curls." How does he know her appearance without having met her?

"How do you know that?" Maybe his Mum was my Mum's friend, and he has a photo of them.

"She was here just last year." His words echo in my mind. Could he be telling the truth? If so, why would Dad deceive me?

"Let's just head to dinner." Harry and I walked and talked as we went down to dinner.

Sitting with my newfound friends, I could feel my Father's piercing gaze. He's concealing something, and I'm determined to uncover it. But for now, I need sustenance and rest. I'll confront him tomorrow. As the day ended, we parted ways- they headed for the Gryffindor tower and I for the dungeon. I bypassed Dad's classroom, heading straight to the common room and my quarters. After a quick shower, I braided my hair and climbed into bed with my advanced potions book- a former possession of Dad's. He's the Half-blood Prince and calls me his Princess, but I'm not half-blood. Mum was a witch, a remarkable one. I'm eager to uncover the truth. I yearn to know who my Mother truly was and why Dad continues to lie to me.
