(I have a story in my head that is quite different from the usual one-shot that you'd find. It's a SnapeXReader tale that is narrated from the Reader's perspective, with a twist: it's read by Harry.)
One day, I found a locked book on the floor in the Great Hall after breakfast. I rushed into the common room, excitedly calling out to my friends, "Look, guys, look what I found!!"
Ron and Hermione turned their heads to see what I was holding. Hermione, with her know-it-all tone, said, "It's a book."
I quickly added, "Not just any book, it's Snape's!! You know how he always has it with him. It's like Professor Y/l/n's diary."
Ron's face lit up as he realized the value of our find. Hermione, the voice of reason, suggested that we return it to Snape, but Ron and I were more curious about its contents. "We should read it!!" Ron said, echoing my thoughts.
We broke the lock and opened the book, only to find that there were no pages. Instead, there was a box-like shape that gave the impression of pages, with some fluff at the bottom of the box. Without a second thought, I reached in to grab the fluff and fell in. Hermione and Ron followed me.
As we looked around, we found ourselves in a place filled with Christmas decorations, Santa hats, Christmas sweaters, and other festive items that the dark Professor would never be seen with.
"This must be everything he has confiscated!" Ron exclaimed.
Hermione was quick to point out that the diary of Professor Y/l/n was also there with us. We swam over to it and grabbed it. I asked the others, "Should we read it?"
Hermione snapped, "No!"
But Ron was excited, shouting, "YES!!"
I cleared my throat and began reading the first page. It was dated the fifth of December and written in the first person.
The writer had returned to their room after a long day at work and found Snape in the lounge room. Instead of his usual self, Snape was standing next to the couch with boxes of Christmas decorations. He wore a bright red Christmas sweater with a Christmas tree on it, lights wrapped around the tree, and bells instead of ornaments. The writer laughed, unable to believe the sight before them. Severus gave the writer a matching sweater, and together they decorated the room.
Snape then gave the writer a gift, and it was the diary we were reading. The writer wrote in it immediately, declaring that it would never leave their side. They had learned that Snape did have emotions, but he just didn't show them. The writer was the only person who got to see the weak side of Snape.
As I finished reading the diary, we all burst out laughing. Snape had emotions after all. We exited the book and decided to leave it next to a statue in the dungeons for Snape to find.
