(First, I'm going to make this very clear: this and the next few chapters, minus the FredXReader chapters, were all written back when I first started this book, like this was back when I wrote the 4th and 5th chapters of this book and I'm now in the hundreds, these just never made it onto Wattpad so don't expect these to be at the level of writing I'm at at the moment these are very early works of mine!! If you notice that throughout the next few chapters, please, no hate! I'm probably not going to update them cause these are my original works from 2019, and it may take too much effort. I'll lose the motivation to write way too fast to edit all of them, seeing as I have ten completed ones to type up plus 5 I have at least started on while also planning on writing some new FredXReader ones in between every once in a while.)
(Y/n's P.O.V)
I am a first-year student, along with Charlie, the cutest guy at Hogwarts! I would have thought I might have a change, except that he is a Gryffindor, and I am in Ravenclaw; you don't often hear of inter-house relationships during Hogwarts. His older Brother Bill keeps walking in whenever I try to talk to Charlie. You see Bill is my best friend so naturally, he knows everything! He knows I have a crush on Charlie, and I still sleep with my Teddy Bear.
"Bill! I was just about to talk to him!" I sigh, slumping down. Charlie had just left the room after his brother had walked in.
"Okay, sorry! What if, to make up for it? I tell him a secret admirer wants to meet him by the lake tonight. You can tell him there with no interruptions!" Bill offered as he sat next to me. I nodded, getting up and running to my common room, heading up to my bed
----Time Skip---
It was finally midnight, and I was sitting near the Black Lake; Bill had said Charlie would meet me at eleven, so I started to pick myself up, ready to leave, when a neatly dressed Charlie came into view. I sat up and hid the book I had been reading. Not everyone liked it when I read, especially about Dragons, because though the faces I pulled were funny, the facts that I would randomly start reading out loud were less than interesting to anyone else.
"Hello, Y/n! What are you doing up so late?" Charlie asked, sitting next to me.
"Hey, Charlie! I was waiting for you!" I stated.
"Really?" I noticed the realisation click in his head as he realised he was supposed to be meeting me. "Sorry, I didn't know who I was looking for! I'm also sorry I'm late! Bill was insisting I change my outfit!"
"All good! What did your Brother tell you you were looking for?" I ask out of curiosity.
"He said to find a girl sitting near Black Lake, probably reading a book. She would probably pull faces at what she was reading, and even when sitting alone, she might absent-mindedly read it out loud." He smiled as I pulled out the book tucked underneath me. "What book is it?" he asked, taking it from my hands.
"How to Train Your Dragon! Hagrid got it for me for my birthday; technically, it was an early birthday gift as I probably won't stay at Hogwarts for my birthday." I mentally scold myself for talking so much. I didn't need to tell him the whole backstory!
"Well, Happy Birthday for then!" He said, looking up from the book's blurb, which he had just been reading.
"Thanks!" I say, looking away with a blush. "How are you finding school so far?" I asked, expecting a typical Gryffindor response of 'boring'.
"It's not what I was expecting; it's actually rather fun, especially Care of Magical Creatures! You know we are learning about Dragons next!! Sadly, they can't bring dragons in for the lesson, though! I love Dragons!" he says, making my face light up.
"Me too! Did you know that Antipodean Opaleye is native to New Zealand but migrates to Australia when territory becomes scarce? It reminds me of birds migrating in the winter!" Okay, calm the fuck down! You don't want to overwhelm him!!
"No, I can't say I did! That is a cool fact, though!" I smiled, releasing the breath I didn't know I was holding.
I lay down. Having been up all day and sitting out here for half the night, I was rather tired.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" I say, looking up at the sky.
"Just stunning!" he replied, still sitting up. I looked over at him only to find him staring down at me.
(I'm sorry it's so short again. Was this written about four years ago? I did change little bits, but not anything that altered the story!)
