(Y/n's POV)

My heart races as I catch sight of Gilderoy Lockhart, an incredibly charming and unique wizard. I'm completely enamored with him. His kind, glowing smile draws me closer to him, and his thrilling adventures leave me in awe. He loves to talk about himself, and I've learned every detail about his life, from his battles with trolls to his favorite color, a soft lilac.

As I walk down the corridor to my next class, my eyes are fixed on Lockhart as he walks ahead of me. I'm so lost in my thoughts that I don't see the person in front of me until it's too late. I collide with something hard and fall to the ground. When I look up, I see Professor Snape standing over me, his black robes billowing around him.

"I'm so sorry, Professor. I wasn't looking where I was going," I say, scrambling to my feet.

"Ten points from Y/h and detention with me this evening, Miss Y/l/n," Snape snarls, his voice cold and unforgiving.

I'm surprised when Lockhart intervenes. "I had it under control, Severus," he says, coolly.

"Miss Y/l/n, you'd better hurry along if you don't want to be late for class," Lockhart says, offering me a friendly smile.

Grateful for his intervention, I hurry down the hall and make my way to Care of Magical Creatures. When I arrive, I'm breathing heavily and feeling a bit flustered. Professor Hagrid greets me warmly and asks me to work with Hermione for the day. I'm happy to oblige and take my place next to her.

"What made you late?" Hermione asks, her voice gentle and curious.

"I ran into Professor Snape, literally," I say, wincing at the memory.

"Y/n, you really need to be more careful," Hermione scolds, though I know she means well.

As we begin our lesson, I'm captivated by the beauty of the creatures around us. Hagrid is teaching us about how to care for fairies, and I'm fascinated by their intricate wings and glittering bodies. Two of them fly over to us and begin to squabble over a piece of nectar. Hermione and I quickly intervene, separating the two tiny creatures and apologizing to Hagrid for the disruption.

"Well, if you weren't such a klutz, maybe these things wouldn't happen to you," Hermione teases, though there's a hint of affection in her voice.

"I don't mean to be a klutz," I say with a laugh. "It just seems to happen to me."u don't have to remind me every time," I say, gently slapping her arm.

The two fairies in front of us then turn to each other and start hitting each other. We quickly pull them apart and apologize to Hagrid for causing a scene.

"Well, if you weren't such a klutz, always causing a scene, maybe I wouldn't make fun of you," Hermione teases.

"It's not like I try to be a klutz; it just happens," I laugh.
