(Y/n's P.O.V)

I stood up and walked out, determined to show them. I went to the library to plan how to get revenge on him for what he did. The blast that sent me back in time gave me powers - not the everyday ones you see at Hogwarts, but a power that had long been forgotten and ran in my family. The blast had brought out this magic, which had not been used since my great-great-great-great-great-grandfather. He was a mighty wizard, but his daughter was a squib, and since then, the magic had died off. The restricted section in the library was the only place where I could find the spells and information about them. A blast from the future might set Tom right.

As I headed for the restricted section, I ran into someone, and we both stumbled back from the impact.

"I'm so sorry. I was so engrossed in my book I wasn't watching where I was going," the girl said.

"It's okay. It's my fault. I was in a rush, and I wasn't paying attention," I replied.

Why does she look so familiar?

"My name is Rose Evilen, Ravenclaw Sixth year. And you are?" she asked. Shit, it's my mother.

"Y/n. Y/n...." I searched the room for something or anything. "Lockwood, Y/n Lockwood. It's nice to meet you!" I said, trying to avoid discussing this with my mother.

"You took a while to tell me your last name; what are you hiding?" she asked.

"I'm an orphan," I said, looking down at the floor.

"Oh, I'm so sorry I didn't...." she started to say, but I cut her off.

"It's fine," I said.

"Everyone thinks I'm weird," she went on.

"I don't think you're weird," I said, wanting to walk away.

"Really?" she was almost jumping around in excitement.

"You wanna be my friend?"

"Sure!" I said. Well, at least I'll be able to get to know my mum.

"Yay!!" she exclaimed. Wow, she must be desperate.

"Well, I have to go, beastie. See you later," I said, walking off as she ran off in the other direction.

"Knowledge is power, but power is not knowledge," a big book came flying into my hand.

I stuffed the book into my bag and cast a spell on it so it didn't alert Madam Pince. I was leaving the library and heading back up to my dorm when I pulled out the book and flipped through the pages.

"Now, what to do?" I stopped on a page that consisted of weaving the future.

I reached into the book and pulled out the utensils I needed (wouldn't that be the best? Being able to reach into a book and pull stuff out, I would grab food, Snape, Hogwarts and my wand because I'm crazy). I took the typewriter and got to work.

'Tom Riddle trips over on his way to his seat in the Great Hall in front of every student in the school while everyone sits down for dinner.

"Y/n and Rose are much better than me, and you should be their friends." He screams as everyone stares at him. Everyone starts to laugh at him.' I type up.

I put the typewriter away and headed to the Great Hall for dinner. I sat at the Ravenclaw table with Rose, getting many weird looks from everyone there.

"This is going to be fun!" I whispered to Rose.

"What's goi....." Rose was cut off by the door flying open, and Tom came tripping in, falling flat on his face.

"Rose and Y/n are much better than me, and you should be their friends," he screamed after raising slightly so he is no longer lying flat on his face.

Everyone started laughing, and Tom ran from the Great Hall, embarrassed. It might have been over the top, but he's the man who sent me back in time. I left my family behind. I AM AS OLD AS MY PARENTS!!!
