Quite a few people had arrived, including some old acquaintances of Luo Qingci—Nangong Jue and his three companions.
Upon seeing them, Nangong Jue and his group immediately stopped.
Additionally, there were two people standing on a heavy sword. Instead of stopping their sword flight immediately as they approached, they used the momentum to land heavily on the ground.
The two of them swiftly slid from among Luo Qingci's group to the front of the Red Dragon, and then abruptly stopped the sword, sending a shower of dead branches and leaves flying.
One of them was dressed in a dark blue long robe and had a white bone whistle hanging from his waist. Without saying a word upon arrival, he threw out a net.
The net rapidly expanded as it was thrown, its mesh filled with triangular barbs, covering the top of the Red Dragon's head.
Controlled by the Demon Eye, the Red Dragon's demonic aura erupted, forcing Luo Qingci and her group away. Its enormous form was reduced to a normal size of about thirty feet long.
At this moment, it was curled up on the ground in extreme pain, its dragon head drooping, blood mixed with black mist continuously flowing from its struck left eye, and its body twitching involuntarily, emitting occasional dragon roars.
Before it could react, the net had already enveloped it entirely. As the man tightened his spiritual energy, the triangular barbs pierced through its scales directly into the flesh.
The Red Dragon's right eye, which had been closed, opened, and it roared in pain, its body being dragged several meters forward by the net.
Xuan Ying watched as the Red Dragon was treated this way and couldn't hold back any longer. He glanced at Ruan Li, then formed a long sword in his right hand. The sword flew into the air, and with a swing, several sword energies shot toward the net, aiming to rescue the Red Dragon from its predicament.
At that moment, another person accompanying the man reacted quickly. He spun his heavy sword a few times behind his back and used a few kicks to block Xuan Ying's sword energies above the Red Dragon. The sounds of Xuan Ying's spiritual energy clashing were heard as they were deflected. He firmly planted his heavy sword into the ground and watched Xuan Ying warily. "Who are you? This dragon has already been subdued by the two of us. Are you trying to take it away?"
Xuan Ying said nothing and was about to take action again when Luo Qingci sent a voice transmission to him, "They cannot handle this dragon, and you should have sensed the power of the Demon Eye. Withdraw for now."
Xuan Ying glanced at Luo Qingci, who was staring silently at the two intruders, her brows furrowed with a dark, brooding anger.
He hesitated, but seeing the disciples of the Immortal Sect around him, he could only endure. "You'd better not be deceiving me."
Luo Qingci glanced at him but did not respond.
At this moment, Nangong Jue had already reached Luo Qingci's side. He looked at Luo Qingci and then at Ruan Li, who had buried her face in Luo Qingci's shoulder and was tightly clutching her clothing. "Are you all right? What happened to her?"
Luo Qingci coldly looked at the two uninvited guests and glanced at Nangong Jue. "Nangong Young Master, are you asking on purpose?"
Nangong Jue frowned. "Senior Chi, you've misunderstood. We did not take any action. We simply didn't expect them to act this way. I apologize for not being able to stop them."
After speaking, he glanced at Luo Huan.
Luo Huan understood and took a step forward, saying, "I assume the two of you are the Windrider Envoys of the Nanhua Immortal Sect, Xi Feng and Lue Yun?"
