When Jiang Yuebai and the others returned, it was undoubtedly good news for the disciples of the Tianyan Sect.
Seeing Yu Chen and Su Yu standing at the door, along with the disciples who appeared to have become much more resolute and steady, Jiang Yuebai felt a rush of emotions.
Yu Chen had always been worried about her. Now, seeing that both she and Hua Xu Wan and Bai Jing were safe and sound, he couldn't hold back his tears and quickly walked forward. Before he could speak, tears were already streaming down his face.
Jiang Yuebai also felt her eyes well up. Yu Chen was her first disciple and currently the most talented and capable one. During these days, watching Hua Xu Wan and Bai Jing, she couldn't help but think of him and fear for his safety in the recent battle. Seeing him well now, she too choked up.
"Much better now," Jiang Yuebai could only say these five words, her heart full.
"Master." Yu Chen sobbed uncontrollably, bending his knees to kneel, but Jiang Yuebai stopped him.
"Don't kneel, quickly get up."
Hua Xu Wan and Bai Jing, seeing the scene, also gathered around, tears in their eyes.
The emotional reunion between the four was overwhelming, and Luo Qingci and Ruan Li, being perceptive, wisely refrained from interrupting.
Su Yu, witnessing the scene, felt almost as if she were experiencing it herself and was unable to restrain her own emotions.
Cheng Su, who knew Su Yu's character well, noticed that while Su Yu seemed composed on the surface, her deep-seated empathy made her quite sensitive. Cheng Su discreetly glanced at her and, sure enough, found that the foolish girl was already staring at Jiang Yuebai and the others with tearful eyes.
Cheng Su said nothing but walked over and handed her a handkerchief.
Seeing the sudden appearance of the handkerchief, Su Yu was momentarily stunned and turned to look at Cheng Su. The tears in her eyes made Cheng Su's figure blur, and she suddenly realized she was crying, her face flushing with embarrassment.
She awkwardly reached out to take the handkerchief, hesitating over whether to return it.
Cheng Su, seemingly unconcerned, said softly, "Your master and Ruan Li are safe. It's a good thing that they've reunited with their disciples. The things that made you sad have passed. Don't be upset any longer."
Su Yu stared at her, overwhelmed by an indescribable emotion, feeling both warmth and gratitude.
Cheng Su, having handed over the handkerchief, looked ahead as if nothing had happened, but to Su Yu, she appeared almost haloed, making it hard for her to look away.
Luo Qingci, having anticipated that Su Yu might be deeply affected, was shifting her gaze to find her when she happened to witness this scene.
Her foolish disciple was staring dazedly at Cheng Su, while Cheng Su, seemingly serious, kept glancing sideways.
As someone who had been through similar situations, Luo Qingci understood this dynamic well, though the two individuals involved seemed oblivious.
Ruan Li, accustomed to looking at Luo Qingci, noticed her concern for Su Yu and asked curiously, "Master, what's wrong?"
Luo Qingci made a sound of acknowledgment, and Ruan Li followed her gaze, soon unable to suppress a smile. "Master, you're very concerned about them, aren't you?"
Luo Qingci gave her a sidelong glance. "Look, they clearly have issues. It's not that I'm overthinking things."
Ruan Li nodded with a smile, not expecting Luo Qingci to exhibit such concern and curiosity, finding it quite endearing.
