From sensing the demonic aura to the figure appearing before them, it was only three breaths of time. Luo Qingci and Ruan Li didn't have to wait long.
A dark shadow fell from the sky like a meteor, stirring up a storm as it coalesced into a human form before them.
As soon as he appeared, both Luo Qingci and Ruan Li felt an indescribable pressure, as if the air had been stripped away.
The man before them was indeed Mo Yan, but if they hadn't been mentally prepared, they would have hardly recognized him.
It was unclear what Mo Yan had experienced during his seclusion, but now his long hair was disheveled, and a pervasive murderous aura surrounded him. The intense black lightning-shaped demonic mark on his forehead was continuously emitting demonic energy.
He was dressed in dark clothes stained with fresh blood.
Luo Qingci and Ruan Li could clearly smell the blood, indicating he had recently been involved in a massacre.
This made Ruan Li's heart sink. "What have you done?"
Mo Yan laughed maniacally at her words, wiping the blood from his hands, his smile cruel and savage. "What do you expect me to have done? Is it too late to ask now?"
Ruan Li's face turned ashen with anger and sorrow. "You're truly beyond saving. Those were your own people, the last hope of the Dragon Clan! How could you!"
"How could I?" He laughed even harder, then coldly said, "The ones who brought them out of the Dragon Palace and let them live were me, not you, Ruan Li! How could they so easily trust you just because you're a golden dragon?"
Mo Yan's emotions erupted. His neck bulged with veins, his eyes were fierce, and his entire body was filled with churning demonic energy, clearly showing he had completely gone mad.
Ruan Li looked at Mo Yan, who had reversed black and white and showed no trace of remorse, her heart filled with sorrow. This was her only relative—how had things come to this?
He was a royal of the Dragon Clan, the younger brother of her father. How could he be as obstinate and malicious as Tianji Zi, devoid of any conscience?
Tianji Zi's wickedness only destroyed the Dragon Clan, but her uncle Mo Yan's actions had doomed his own people to an irredeemable fate.
"You are not a dragon. You don't deserve it."
"I don't deserve it? And you do? Just because you're the next Dragon King? That's because you're a golden dragon? Have those fools forgotten that you are not a true dragon? You're just a hybrid, a waste with half the dirty blood of humans flowing through you. That's why you're inherently flawed and can't even break your shell! Your father, that fool, should have never been born, yet he defied the heavens, and it's he who harmed the Dragon Clan!"
Ruan Li clenched her fists in anger. How dare he speak of her father like that?
Hearing his insulting words, Luo Qingci tightened her grip on Ruan Li's hand, her expression turning cold. She pointed at Mo Yan and sneered, "Who are you really trampling on by belittling Ah Li? Your bloodline might be pure, but you're just as selfish and jealous as the dirty humans you speak of."
"Even a crow calling a pig black is laughable."
She said this suddenly, causing Ruan Li to pause and inexplicably want to laugh.
It was the first time Mo Yan had heard such an insult. Enraged, he roared, "Luo Qingci, you're seeking death!"
With a powerful swing of his arms, a mass of demonic energy exploded from behind him, like a black satin rushing towards the sky. It then arced down towards Luo Qingci and Ruan Li with incredible speed, creating a tearing sound through the air.
