The next morning, Luoqing Ci once again couldn't get a full night's sleep. This time, she was awakened by Su Yu.
Luoqing Ci sat up with a cold expression, enduring the disturbance. However, Su Yu persisted, her voice trembling with nervousness as she repeatedly called out, "Master, Master, Su Yu has something to discuss with you."
"Get out!" Unable to bear it any longer, Luoqing Ci expelled Su Yu with a gust of wind.
The disciples preparing to attend the morning class scattered, watching Su Yu stumble as she was thrown out.
A group of them exchanged glances before swiftly using light-body techniques to flee, like birds and beasts escaping. In an instant, only Su Yu remained, nervously swallowing her saliva.
After a while, Luoqing Ci emerged with a stern face, "You'd better have a good reason for disturbing me."
Su Yu lifted her eyes to look at her, bit her lip, and said cautiously, "Master, should we really send Junior Sister to Xuan Peak? She hasn't even gathered Qi into her body; how could she survive there? If she goes, she might not come back alive."
Although Luoqing Ci was in a bad mood, she felt a bit gratified. After all, it was only natural for a disciple to care for a fellow disciple.
Yet, she still maintained her stern demeanor and replied in a deep voice, "Do you need to remind me of this?"
Su Yu's face turned pale. Just as she was about to say more, Luoqing Ci fixed a stern gaze on her, "Su Yu, do not question my decisions."
Su Yu lowered her head, "Disciple dare not." When Luoqing Ci became serious, her aura was intimidating enough to make Su Yu fear her.
"How many years have you been my disciple?"
Su Yu felt a pang of anxiety. She knew that her master was not cold-hearted, but being asked this question suddenly made her uneasy.
"Replying to Master, it has been six years."
Luoqing Ci responded with an "Hmm," "Six years, and you're still disturbing me. Go back."
Su Yu opened her mouth to speak but suddenly had a revelation, showing a hint of joy in her eyes.
Luoqing Ci glanced back at her, "What I say, you do. No more words, and do not mention this to her."
"Warning, be mindful of your manners."
The system began its usual incantation, and Luoqing Ci raised an eyebrow, feeling her persona slipping.
With that, she maintained her aloof demeanor, turned, and closed the door with a decisive slam.
"You didn't stop me just now, so as long as the opponent is smart enough, it doesn't count as me breaking character, right?" Luoqing Ci asked the system.
The system was reluctant to engage. Since it started responding, Luoqing Ci had been incessantly bothering it.
Luoqing Ci stopped asking, already knowing the answer. Her words to Su Yu were a reminder that after all these years, Su Yu should understand that she wouldn't intentionally harm Ruan Li. Clearly, Su Yu understood and was reassured.
While Luoqing Ci pondered how best to protect Ruan Li, Ruan Li had already set out on her journey.
She couldn't use sword flight or any spells, so the journey to Xuan Peak's base took over an hour.
Coincidentally, the path passed through the forest where she had previously walked back. She couldn't help but recall the earth spirit from that day.
The spirit had said it was homeless and could not appear, so it likely would not show up again.
