A/N: Okay, so I don't know what you'll think of this but I certainly tried my best! Definitely shows in my writing that I'm a fairy tail stan. The five of them (Law, Bepo, Penguin, Shachi and the reader) are giving major Lucy, Happy, Gray, Natsu and Erza trying to do anything vibes.
Anyway, I liked how this turned out. Writing for Law and the heart pirates in general is always my favourite thing to write. PLS GUYS REQUEST MORE HEART PIRATES SHENANIGANS!!
The island had been good to the Heart Pirates, supplies were stocked, injuries treated, and for the first time in weeks, everyone had enjoyed a proper meal without the threat of an enemy attack. Spirits were high as the crew gathered near the dock, ready to board the Polar Tang once more and set off for their next destination.
That was until a local merchant, overhearing their chatter, spoke up. "You guys leavin' already? Shame, there's a new water park just a couple islands over" he informed, waving a hand in the direction of the horizon.
"Biggest one in the region, apparently. Whole thing's got those giant slides, a lazy river, hell, even some fancy hot spring pools. Real nice spot for a break. Pirate friendly".
The words struck like a match to dry grass. "A water park?" Shachi's eyes widened. "With a lazy river?" Penguin practically bounced on his heels.
Bepo's ears perked up, and several other crew members stopped in their tracks, exchanging excited glances. A low murmur rippled through the crew, the idea of a full day of water slides and relaxation becoming more appealing by the second.
And then, "No". One word. One brutally decisive word from Trafalgar Law. The atmosphere deflated instantly.
"Aw, come on, Captain-". "We're moving on schedule" Law shot down, arms crossed, his expression unreadable as ever. "We're not wasting time at a water park".
A collective groan rose from the crew. Bepo's shoulders slumped. Penguin and Shachi muttered something under their breath about "the worst captain ever" as they trudged onto the Polar Tang. The dream of the water park died before it even had the chance to live.
Back on the submarine, morale had taken a hit. Mostly because Penguin and Shachi refused to let the subject drop. "I mean, seriously, what's the harm?" Penguin huffed, throwing his hands up as he slumped in his seat in the mess hall. "We've been working non stop! A little R&R wouldn't kill us".
"He's just being a buzzkill" Shachi grumbled from his seat, tossing a small ball in the air before catching it. "A water park, man. We could've had it all".
Bepo, sitting nearby with his arms crossed, let out a small sigh. "I mean... it did sound fun". "Exactly! Even Bepo agrees! And he's Captain's favourite!"
The complaints continued, but across the room, you weren't really paying attention. You were focused on something far more important, food.
More specifically, the piece of fruit on Uni's plate that looked much better than what was left on your own.
