A/N: To be honest there's probably potential for a part four here when requests open back up! I love the idea of watching this family grow.
I do want to put a warning for anyone with emetophobia (like me), there's mentions of throwing up in the first few paragraphs!
Secondly, I did accidentally write this with she/her pronouns, forgetting I wanted to keep it gender neutral! I'm so sorry!!
Oh also as a reminder when I write about characters who are 3million foot tall, I usually just size them down. I imagine they're like taller than average maybe, but otherwise fics like this don't work!
Morning sickness had become a relentless, unwelcome companion. It crept up on you at the worst times, early in the morning, in the middle of the afternoon, sometimes even at night when you were just trying to rest. The nausea, the exhaustion, the way your body felt like it wasn't entirely your own anymore, it was overwhelming.
Katakuri had done his best to stay by your side whenever he could, but as one of Big Mom's most trusted commanders, he had responsibilities that couldn't be ignored.
The two of you had agreed to keep the pregnancy a secret for now, not wanting to draw unnecessary attention until you were both ready to face the weight of his family's expectations.
Which meant, for the most part, you spent your days alone. Or at least... you thought you were alone.
Katakuri stood by the doorway, adjusting the scarf around his face as he prepared to leave for a meeting with Big Mom's inner circle. His crimson eyes studied you carefully as you sat up in bed, forcing yourself to look as normal as possible despite the fact that your stomach was twisting uncomfortably.
"If you're not feeling well, I can stay" he offered, though you could tell he was torn between responsibility and concern. You smiled, waving a hand dismissively. "I'll be fine, really. It's just a little morning sickness. I promise I'll rest".
His eyes narrowed slightly, unconvinced, but he sighed and nodded. "If you need anything, send for me". "I will" you nodded, knowing full well you wouldn't.
