chapter 144

Hyunjin's pov ( after a week)
The boys and I tried to stay as low as possible, I was the only one who left the room...I had work to take care of...since Cain is away I need to fill his place while he is gone...that was hard since I am not officially the leader, the league was divided between lia and I...her men didn't listen to anything I have said...anyways my boyfriends stayed in my room with the twins, I didn't want them to get in any trouble and thankfully no one bothered them not even my half sisters.

I am thankful and worried at the same time, something inside me tells me that this calmness is not normal...something big is coming...I know it.
"Varris" I stopped midsentence to glance at Michael who was coming after me.
"Yes" I answered watching as the man bowed at me.
"Cain is back, he wants you to meet him in the main room" he said, finally he is back...he was supposed to come back yesterday so I started to wonder about what happened...leaving in the middle of this was confusing to start with but taking longer than intended to come back was fishy.
I nodded my head before I made my way toward the main room...of course he called for me to hear about my decision...he is eager to find out.
I took a deep breath making a left turn, the members were bowing at me as I walked past them but the only thing that was on my mind now is my meeting with Cain.

I agreed on felix's plan even though I don't like it...no it is not like I don't like it...I freaking hate it, everything i have done up to this point was to protect the boys but look where we ended...of course I want them by my side but Cain won't let them live in peace...he will start asking them to go on missions...he will ask them to become killers to his business I know him so well for that...I have no idea how I am going to convince him otherwise.
As soon as the guards saw me approaching they opened the huge door as I made my way inside.
"Hyunjin, come on in" cain said crossing his legs, a very wide smirk decorated his face that sent shiver down my spine.

"You wanted to see me" I said as the door was closed behind me.
"I am waiting for your answer, what did you decide? Are you going to stay with your husband or you are going to leave without the twins?" Cain said calmly.
"You know every well that I won't leave the twins behind..."
"And you can't take them,I am aware that Aisha surprisingly made out the surgery alive...maybe she could still be useful after all you can leave and she will come back here to take care of her kids..."
"Do you really want me gone?" I asked cutting him off.
"I don't need you anymore i got what I wanted " he answered.
"Then why won't you just kill me already, you know every well that I won't stop coming after you if I leave without the twins...why can't you just kill me and get over with it..actually you could have killed me since the moment they were born why are you keeping me around?" I said scanning him.

The man stared at me blankly before he bursted into laughs making me frown, what the hell is going on inside his sick twisted mind.
"You are right, I could have killed you before and now...but where is the fun in that? You will suffer more alive, if you leave without your kids knowing you, you will spend the rest of your days in pain...i let you live because I knew that you are suffering from the loss of your lovers but if you die...it is just so simple" he answered making me clench my jaw " you are no use for me hyunjin but I just love controlling your life...I love how weak your feelings are making you...and I want to take that from you...I want to kill every single emotion you still have to turn you into a cold hearted killer...that's my goal, if that won't happen i will be satisfied just by watching you mourn" he added.

He is sick I swear, I feel like I am going to throw up.
"As I said I am not leaving " I announced, I am not letting my boys still here...over my dead corpse.
"Alright then, I will arrange for your lovers of course your husband not included to leave" Cain said moving his hand.
"Let them stay here " I replied.
"Did you lose your mind?" He said laughing at my words.
"You are letting jeongin stay why..."
"Do you really think after what I just said  I will agree on that" he cut me off....no of course not...I don't even believe what I am saying right now...I feel so stupid...so helpless...but maybe it is for the best...I tried everything I can...it is better if they leave...we had a week to think and we hit a dead end.
