Shiva's POV:

"Yes go on."

"Can you commission a painting of me, Tanu and the baby from the photo we took in the hospital."

Her eyes tears up. She wipes them from the back of her hand. She gets up and comes around to hug me. She brushes back my hair.

"Of course Shiva. I am so sorry for creating so much trouble in your life. I don't know if I deserve your forgiveness. But I really regret my actions. I threatened you, manipulated you, almost costed you Tanu and your baby. I stood in the way of your happiness. When I was pregnant with you, this is not the mother I envisioned myself to be. I am really sorry."

"Its not entirely your fault. I didn't appreciate her enough. I took her for granted. And its all in the past now. Since then I have been trying to be a better husband for her everyday."

"I am proud of you Shiva. I want to apologise to Tanvi before leaving."

"Mom, she still needs some time to get over the whole thing. Whenever she feels ready I will let you know."

"I can understand. Always be happy my son."

"Thanks mom. You too."

I showed her the pictures of our baby. I told her we decided to name our baby Avyukth.
After chatting for a while, she left to Bangalore and I returned back to home.

"How did it go?" Tanu asked while I changed my dress.

"It went well. We discussed a lot of stuff. I need some time to process it."

"Want to talk about it?"

"Yea, sure. Mom is leaving India and going to Europe to become travel artist."

"Oh nice."

"Yea. She has started painting again. She has her own instagram art page. She does commissions to people. One of them suggested this travel artistry to her. She has some money from her inheritance which she is using as funds for her travelling."

"That is amazing. But you can cover her expenses right?"

"I told her the same thing, but she insists on doing it on her own. We talked about her therapy sessions. It was very deep, she has changed so much. She apologised for everything. She wanted to apologise to you personally but I told her you are not ready to meet her yet. She understood."

"I am glad that therapy helped her."

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure go on."

"What do you feel about my mother, Tanu. I just want to know what is in your mind."

"To be honest Shiva. I don't feel any hatred towards her. She did what she felt was right for you. I don't want to remember that phase. I am afraid that meeting her would bring back all those memories. I want to enjoy my motherhood now. Maybe someday I will be ok meeting her and talking with her. Only time knows."

"Thanks Tanu. I am not sure if I would have said the same things if our roles were reversed but I am really grateful to have you in my life. I couldn't have asked for a better wife. You will be the best mother for our son."

"And you will be the best father."

"This reminds me of something I wanted to discuss with you. It is regarding expanding our company. When our son grows up to take over, I want Goenka Industries to established in a global level."

"I will stand by your side through this but I have a condition."

"What is it?"

"I don't want to force our child to take over the business. If they want to be someone other than an entrepreneur then I want us to support them. If they are into business, then we can think about handing them over the business. I don't want us to hand over the reins of business to him when he graduates. I want him to work in each department first to know how things function and what importance that department plays. I don't want anyone in our company to know that he is our son. He will be treated just like any other employee. Only then he will joining us in the board room. He should know the hardships of our employees when he takes decisions and the impact it might have on others."

"You are right. We shouldn't push our dreams on our children. They should know what it takes to run over companies before we hand over the reins to them. So, you don't want to reveal our kids outside?"

"No, I want them to have a normal childhood just like any other child. Once they grow up it is inevitable, but atleast till then I want them to enjoy their life without the fear of being in news for every other mundane things."

"Yea sure. I will take care of it."

"Thanks Shiva for understanding."

*******
Next day

"I got the birth certificate form. I have filled everything else, just the name column is empty."

"We have already discussed it right. We will name him Avyukth."

"I know, but I wanted to ask you about the middle name and surname"

"What about it? Avyukth Shiva Goenka."

"I was wondering, what if his middle name has your name instead of mine?"

"Avyukth Tanvi Goenka? I feel its a little odd." She scrunches her face.

"Tanu, I want him to have a part of your name in his."

"How about Tansh? Tan from my name and Sh from yours."

"That is such a great idea. Will you ever stop to amaze me Tanu?" I kissed her cheeks.

"You wish." She takes the form and pen from me and writes down his name herself.

Avyukth Tansh Goenka

"I never thought a day I would say this to you again Shiva. Despite everything that happened, I am glad we ended up together. I couldn't have asked for a better husband for me and a better father for avyukth."

"I should be the one saying this Tanu, I am eternally grateful to you for giving me another chance. You came into my life like a boon. Now, you have brought another angel to my life. My love for you has evolved from the day we got into a relationship in college to this day, but the one constant has always been that I need you in my life the way I need air to breathe. I cannot imagine my life where you aren't a part of it. Till my last breath I will always try to keep you happy. I love you Tanvi Shiva Goenka."

Tanu's eyes were glistening.

"I love you too Shiva Goenka." She tiptoed and pecked me on my lips.

I hugged her tightly. My life feels contented.
