Chapter 64

Tanvi's POV:

"What was your intention for doing this interview?" I asked when we are in the privacy of our room.

"I wanted to clear your name from this whole scandal."

"Why was it bothering you?"

"Tanu, I know that I have made mistakes in the past, but please don't judge my love for you based on those mistakes." he says pleadingly.

"I know how much you have always been loving me, but in the past that love was not enough to stop you from doing what you did. Sometimes love is not enough."

"I know Tanu, although my actions in the past have hurt us and our relationship very much. It helped me see things in new light. It made me see things from your POV and look through my mother's cunning schemes. It has brought us closer than before. But at the same time I cannot let people badmouth about you. They don't even know what has transpired between us but they see you as home wrecker and it breaks my heart to see you go through it. To see ma and papa through it. It is my duty to protect you from the unnecessary hatred and I did what I had to do. I am going to make it up to you for those mistakes till my last breath. You are the most important person on this earth to me and you will always remain to be the same."

"It feels so nice to hear you talk like men from my romantic novels. Keep it up." I chuckle. I know how sorry he feels for what he did. I was simply asking him those questions to see what he might say.

"Is that your take away from my confession?" He asked me faking disbelief.  Such a Drama queen!

"On a serious note, I am happy you came out of your comfort zone to do this interview for my sake. And on the brighter side papa genuinely smiled at you for the first time since this whole fiasco."

"I know right! I mean I can't blame him Tanu." He says in a grim tone.

"Well, If a guy asks you the permission to live with your daughter in a 2-BHK flat and tells you that they are going to sleep in two different rooms and later knocks..." He closes my mouth with hand while his vein on his forehead popping. That is exactly what happened in our case, while convincing my parents to live in the same apartment, we had told them that we will be sleeping in two different rooms so they didn't have to worry about us doing stuff before marriage (if you know what I mean).  

"Ok enough, stop right there lady. I know where this is going. I agree I made a mistake but I will make sure my daughter will stay away from boys until she is 30, so our situation won't repeat. And in my defense, I had no plans of doing the deeds before marriage if you weren't so seducing and alluring naturally."

"What is being seducing naturally?" I said sounding offended by his words but I was anything but offended.

"All you had to do was exist to give me a boner." He said in a nonchalant tone.

"Oh really?" I wiggle my eyebrows.

"I mean you can see for yourself right now." He places my hand on his bulge which I didn't notice until now.

"Are you serious right now?" He took me towards the mirror and stood behind me.

"I mean come on. Look at yourself, with all this pregnancy flow and this bump carrying my baby. This messy bun and those wild locks falling on your forehead. This piece of clothing trying to cover your curves but failing miserably. You are the most sexy woman in this world to me. All mine." He trails kisses down my neck.

"A wise man once said to trust a man's actions not his words." I whisper in his ears.

"Aha, I have the whole night to prove my words through actions."

He did prove through his actions at the expense of our sleep. And I would choose it over sleep over and over again.

After a week

Shiva has just finished a video conference with his team. I was waiting for this meeting to end.

"Hi Shiva."

"Hi Tanu, did you finish eating your fruits?"

"Yes my lord, I finished them. I would like to ask his lordship's view on a certain matter." He laughs at my words.

"Why don't you go along with the flow Shiva." I glare at him.

"For god sake Tanu, can you talk normally with me rather than talking like a society woman from Bridgerton?" He chucked at me.

"Ma, was asking about inviting your mother to my baby shower. What is your opinion?" he face turned serious at my words.

"It is not a good idea Tanu. I do not want her anywhere near you or our child."

"But what will we tell to the people who ask? It is not normal for a mother-in-law  not to attend the baby shower of her daughter-in-law. "

"We will tell them that it is some tradition in my family that mother in law can't come daughter in law's baby shower."

"That excuse would work. But, are you sure about it?"

"Yea, anyway dad is coming to the function. So it should be fine." He caressed my cheeks with his thumb.

"I will inform this to ma then."

"You take some rest, I will inform it to ma. You are in your third trimester Tanu, you need to take as much rest as possible."

"Ok my lord." I try to do a curtsy but fail in doing so. He chuckles while smacking my ass.
