Kiki was still at school when I came home early. Mom looked concerned when she came to collect me.
"Alright honey? Do you have a fever? Are you sick? What happened? Do you need a doctor? Can I get you anything? Was it something you ate? Who was that nice boy with you? Oh my gosh, do you have a boyfriend? Did he see you get sick? Do you have a temperature? Are you going to get sick again?"
"MOM! I'm fine." I smiled.
I was happy to finally get some attention. Amelia has stolen most of it recently.
"So the boyfriend?" She raised her eyebrows.
"He's not my boyfriend! I don't have one! I haven't even had my first kiss yet!" I cried. "Geez July, it was a question." She giggled. I joined in.The doorbell went when Mom and Dad had gone shopping with Amelia and Kiki. Calum had snuck off to a friend's. I opened the door slowly and gasped when I saw who was there.
"August?"
"Hey" he said.
I invited him inside in shock.
