Another Song

I woke up in a hospital bed. I was in some kind of waiting room.
"Miss Summers, are you feeling alright?" Said a kind looking nurse.
"Where am I?" I asked.
"Oh you're in hospital. I'll just take you into the doctor, sweetie." She replied.
"What?"

The doctor sent me to have an X-Ray. It turned out that my wrist was badly broken and might not heal for a long time. And since I had concussion I had to stay in hospital for a few days.

My parents kept apologising on every visit.
"Oh darling I'm SO SORRY! Are you okay? This is all my fault!"
Or
"Sweetie how are you? Oh you look dreadful! It's all my fault ! I'M SO, SO, SO SORRY PUMPKIN!"
I had a terrible headache and they were not helping! I had to ask a nurse to tell them to stop apologising!

Kiki visited too. She was really glum from being expelled and I ended up having to cheer her up even though I was stuck in a hospital bed with a huge cast around my wrist and with an awful headache. I didn't really mind though.

To my utter surprise one day August visited me.
"Hey."
"What do you want?" I sneered.
"Trying to be friendly."
"You are no friend of mine," I said.
He sighed and tried to start a conversation.
"Look August, just do me a favour."
"Yeah?"
"Get out."
He sighed again and gave me a CD before he walking out. I listened to it straight away. It was another song. Another song that whirled through me. Another song that made my heart melt. Another song that whisked me away. Another song where it felt that the long lasting lyrics would never stop. Another song.
