The policeman who phoned Mom and Dad just sighed and hung up after a five minute conversation.
"They were no help," he said.
"What did they say?" I asked.
"They told me to shut up and said that they had no need for Kiki Summer after all she has done to them. I tried to reason with them but that was a mistake."
Calum and I exchanged concerned looks. He tried to ring them a number of times but it went straight to voicemail each time. He rang Annabelle instead.

We searched for two hours with no luck.
"July, I'll keep looking you should go home it's half past twelve."
"No! I'm not going until we find Kiki," I said, crying.
"July, please."
"NO CALUM!" I screamed with more tears spilling from my eyes.
"July....."
"I AM NOT LOOSING ANOTHER SISTER," I yelled.
Calum hesitated. He finally realised how I was feeling.
"July, I'll make you a deal. We'll search for another hour and after that you have to promise to go home, if we find her or not," he said, placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Okay."

We searched for another hour but still no luck.
"I'll stay July, but you need to go home now."
I sighed and went into Calum's car. He drove me home. He decided to come in with me for ten minutes to talk to Annabelle. She was sitting on the couch watching television when we walked in.
"Cal, July, any luck?" She asked.
We shook our heads. Tears dripped from my eyes. I turned and saw tears falling from Calum's eyes as well. Annabelle have me a hug. She then gave one to Calum. Their hug was much longer. I sat on the armchair and kept crying. Annabelle gave Calum a kiss and told him not to worry. He snapped out of it and nodded. He then thanked Annabelle and gave me a hug. I just cried and cried. Eventually Calum left and I watched a bit of tv with Annabelle.

"You will find her," Annabelle said, gently.
"I hope so."
"You will."
She seemed so sure that I really wanted to believe her.
"And I've learned that friends and boyfriends are usually great at cheering people up," she smiled.
I wiped a tear from my eye and tried to smile.
"Call August," she said.
"Right now?"
"Whenever you think the time is right," she replied.
"Thank you Annabelle. I'm really glad that you're Calum's girlfriend, and better yet, my friend," I smiled, blushing at how cheesy it sounded out loud.
She blushed as well and gave me a thumbs up sign. I walked off to my bedroom and plopped onto my bed, leaving a few tears escape from my eyes.
