His Car

Friday came quickly. After school I had a shower and changed into some tracksuit pants and a top that had 'Believe' in big, swirly writing.
I got out a bag and packed some things to get ready at August's house. He was going to collect me at half four. Fortunately my parents had allowed me to go.

He rang the doorbell and I raced down stairs with the bag in my hands.
"Hello, are you ready?" August smiled.
"Yes."
I walked out and into the front seat of his car. It was really his Mother's but August's Dad had kept it when she died for August to have one day. August hopped into the driver's seat and started the engine.

I had met August's Dad already. He knew that I was August's girlfriend and he was actually really nice.

The dinner wasn't until six so we didn't have to get ready until five.
"We have twenty minutes," August said.
"Okay, so what do you want to do?"
"First lets go up to my bedroom,"
"Okay."

His bedroom was so cool. It was dark with a guitar and a microphone in the corner. He had a small, white, leather sofa facing an old tv. There was a tall, dark oak storage thing that kept all his DVDs and CDs in it. His bed was singular and had a plain black quilt laid on top. His pillow was black with a printed picture of a guitar on the front. He also had a white music note shaped pillow thrown to the side of his bed. His bedside cabinet was dark oak and all it held on top was a dented lava lamp as well as a few guitar plectrums and a pen. His walls were a cream colour and a little shabby. And then I noticed above his bed side cabinet there was a picture of me cut into the shape of a heart stuck up. I had noticed it before, as I had been in his room before, but it still made my heart melt every time I saw it.
"You still have that picture up?"
"Of course."
I smiled and he blushed.

"What do you want to do? We have just over fifteen minutes remaining."
"I don't know," I said.
"How about we watch a movie and we can finish it after this dinner, if we have time?" August suggested.
"Yeah, okay,"
"So what do you want to watch?"
"A Disney film?" He pleaded.
"You and your Disney films!" I laughed.
"I'm guessing it has to have romance in it too?"
"Yeah," he smiled.
"Okay you choose one."
"I'll go with Sleeping Beauty because there's romance and a dragon," he laughed.
I laughed as well.
"There's hardly any romance in that but go on."

He put on the movie and I sat on the little sofa. It was a lot more comfy than you would think. He sat down with me. He then put his arm around me and I snuggled up into him.
"August?"
"Yeah?
"What if my parents don't like you?"
"Is that really bad?" He asked.
"Well they didn't like Calum's girlfriend and they were forbidden to see each other,"
"I'm guessing they still saw each other?"
"Yes, but what will we do?"
"We will sort it out, because trust me July, I'm not giving you up that easily,"
"You gave me up to Roxanne," I smirked.
"Shut up," he said, "You really are so annoying sometimes," he laughed.
"I try," I said, beaming.

About twelve minutes into the movie August smirked at me.
"Oh no, why are you smirking?"
"Just had an idea for you forfeit."
"Forfeit?"
"Yeah you know, for breaking the deal."
"August are you serious?"
"Yes."
"I don't think I want to hear this idea."
"Yeah but you have to."
I groaned.
"Just hurry up and say it!"
"You have to get changed in here with me," he smirked.
I swatted him.
"Pervert!" I said.
"Well it's your fault for both breaking the deal and allowing me to select a forfeit," he laughed.
I groaned again and turned away from him.

We turned off the movie at five to get ready. He still hadn't let the forfeit go. He took off his top and dropped it onto the ground. I stared at his six pack.
"July, close your mouth, it will catch flies."
I felt my face heat up and I turned away from him. I removed my top and kept myself turned towards the wall. I put my dress on and then took off my sweatpants. I had on my black skater dress with purple music notes dotted over it. I fished in my bag for some tights but I felt August's hands on my bear legs before I could put them on.

"July, these bruises, when did he do this?"
I cursed under my breath.
"This morning."
He ran his fingers gently around the bruises. They were black, purple and blue. He pressed his lips gently against the painful bruises.

I put on my tights and tied my hair up into a high ponytail, pulling two side pieces out. I headed stood in front of August's mirror to do my makeup.

August came up behind me and put his hands around my neck, when I'd finished with my makeup. He was wearing a pair of black jeans and a white top dotted with black music notes. He also wore a nice, black jacket.
"Wow, July, you look beautiful."
"Thank you, and you look very handsome."
"Thank you."

I then curled the ends of my hair and I was ready. August was fixing his hair. I grabbed my black converse out of my bag and put them on. August laughed.
"I'll never see you in high heels will I?"
"Not a chance," I laughed.
He put on some black shoes and we were ready. I plopped my big backpack onto the sofa and walked down stairs with August. We headed out the door and into his car.
