August drove us to his house and we walked up the stairs and into his bedroom. He dropped his jacket on his bed and sat on the sofa. I gently slipped my bag off my shoulder and onto his bed. It fell on top of August's jacket. I took off my boots and followed him over to the sofa. I sat down with him.
"Two more weeks left of school," I sighed.
"Wow it flew."
"Yeah," I muttered.
"July?"
"Yeah?"
"I wish I'd been with you since our first kiss, I can't believe I let you slip away," he said, putting his arm around me.
"Don't worry about it, you have me now," I smiled.
"And I'm so lucky."
"August?"
"Yeah?"
"I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"Well your always doing lovely things for me. You wrote me loads of songs, you brought me to a romantic restaurant and to the beach, you set up fairy lights around your room for me, you comfort me when I have a panic attack, you stayed off school when Kiki ran away, you've done so much for me and I hardly do anything in return. I'm a horrible girlfriend," I said, my voice going wobbly.
"Oh July, you're the best girlfriend anyone could ask for. You make me smile everyday, you fill me with laughter, you do just as much, even more. You never gave up on finding my Mom. Without you I wouldn't have found that house, I would have given up," August said, stroking my hair.
"July, thank you."
"August I love you."
"I love you too."
Then he kissed me. It was our first proper kiss in ages. He moved his hands along my waist and I let my hands go up to his neck. I wrapped one hand around his neck and cupped his cheek with the other one. He then pushed me backwards and I hit my back off the couch. He was on top of me now, still pressing his lips against mine.
I pulled away and the both of us stared at each other panting.
"August...get off me!" I said, beginning to push him off.
He just smirked and stayed where he was.
"Never!"
"August!"
He then started laughing at me, struggling beneath him.
"Stop that!" He laughed.
"Why?"
"Because it makes it harder to do this," he smirked.
I didn't have a chance to react before his lips slid along my neck. He left a trail of kisses going up my neck. Each one left a tingling feeling. I put my arms around his neck. He kept kissing me and I let a gentle moan escape my lips. It was definitely the first time that sound had come out my mouth. August just seemed satisfied that he'd found my sensitive spot and kept his lips pressed against the area while I let out another lustful moan.
After a minute or two he stopped and I didn't even have time to blink before his lips came crashing onto mine again. I allowed my hands to wander up to his hair. I began to tug gently and I heard him moan softly into my lips. I just stifled a laugh and kissed him harder, letting my tongue meet his. I was happy to have found his weakness. We sat together and watched a movie. He had his arm around me and my head was resting on his shoulder. Halfway through the movie my eyelids felt heavy and I drifted off to sleep. I woke up to a light kiss on my forehead.
"August?" I mumbled.
"Yeah?"
"Sorry for falling asleep again, it's turning into a bit of a habit isn't it?"
"It's alright but there is one thing you could do to make up for it," he smirked.
"I'm listening."
"Kiss me again."
"I don't think I have choice do I?"
"Nope."
I laughed and kissed him. He grabbed my waist and I found my back hitting the sofa again. I pulled him closer, tugging at his hair again and never breaking the kiss. I'm later allowed my hands to wander up his shirt. The whole world melted away. I was with no one other than August.A/N
Ugh I find it so hard to write this soppy, lovey stuff.
I feel kinda awkward writing it sometimes. I'm sorry if you don't like these types of chapters but it I think the books needs chapters like this no matter how much they make me cringe!
